What's new

Expanded Inventory 2.2

Added

  • A quick-equip belt slot right next to your leggings slot, in your own inventory and Creative's Inventory tab. It stays hidden until you hover the leggings slot, then appears — framed to match vanilla's own slot style — and stays interactive while you move onto it or back to your leggings.
    • With Curios or Trinkets installed, right-clicking a held belt sends it straight to its own accessory slot (the same pattern Elytra Slot uses for elytras) instead of your leggings slot. Shift-clicking a belt in your inventory routes it to the accessory slot specifically when you already have real leggings on, so they're never displaced; if your leggings slot is empty, it goes straight there instead.
    • Without Curios or Trinkets, the new slot is a real, independent, belt-only slot — not a shortcut into your leggings slot. You can wear leggings and a belt at the same time; previously the belt had to share the leggings slot and displaced whatever armor was there.
  • A reassignable keybind (default M) toggles the module drawer open or closed — the same action as the drawer's own Menu button — and now works identically in every container screen, not just your own inventory.
  • ESC closing the drawer (before closing the screen itself) is now consistent across every container screen, including AE2 and Refined Storage terminals — typing in their search boxes is never intercepted by the mod's shortcuts.
  • Undo/redo history is now tracked per screen type: editing a layout in a chest can no longer undo/redo into an unrelated menu's history (an AE2 terminal, for example).

Fixed

  • Fixed a crash when unequipping the belt through the new quick-equip slot while a module color was selected in the drawer.
  • Fixed a case where the quick-equip slot could disappear while the mouse was moving toward it, making it seem unresponsive.
  • Fixed a startup crash (NoClassDefFoundError) that occurred specifically when Curios was not installed.

Known issues

  • The 3D belt model on your character is temporarily disabled while a rendering bug is fixed for a future update. This is purely visual — the belt's storage, upgrades, and equip behavior are unaffected.

Compatibility

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Fabric and Forge
  • Java 17
  • Curios (Forge) or Trinkets (Fabric) — optional; the belt's accessory slot and quick-equip flow both work without them, using a dedicated built-in slot instead
  • Optional: JEI, REI, EMI, Sophisticated Backpacks, Traveler's Backpack
