Bison are a defensive herbivore that will spawn in open areas. They live in large herds. Their meat is more nutritious than steak when cooked.

Expanded Biodiversity aims to add multiple real life animals, plants, and biomes to Minecraft while keeping the style of the game intact and staying Vanilla+.
