Exnergys Sift Version-1.4.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Exnergy's The Sift 1.4.0:
Changes since 1.3.0: 13 new creatures in the skies of the Sift, the three-floor Illager Stronghold with Soul Lifts and two new bosses, boss arenas with reward chests, the Splinterwing Queen, a brand new Humbler Huskland with chasms and Bounce Jelly, reworked Singer's Meadow and Lullaby Hills, living villages with chapels, workshops and markets, Glowmelons and Duskmelons, rideable companions, young creatures, Bestiary ranks, a rainbow Ichor and many fixes.
🕊️ 13 New Creatures of the Sky
Magical, otherworldly creatures now fill the skies of the Sift. Every one has its own model, textures, animations and spawn egg, and joins the Sift's food web.
Gentle sky creatures
Wisplet: a tiny soul flame with moth wings and a golden halo, drifting over the meadows and Ichor Ponds
Moonmote: a sleepy little moon with a crystal ring and two tiny orbiting moons. Adopt one with Glowmelon Seeds
Lanternfin: a fish that swims through the air in schools, lighting its way with a glowing lure
Seraphin: a golden mask with one great eye, three pairs of white wings and a slowly turning halo, found over the Choral Glen and the Silent Meridian
Vespercloak: an empty hooded cloak with glowing eyes that carries a soul lantern through the dusk
Phoenixling: a small ichor phoenix with a flame crest, soul-tipped wings and long glowing tail ribbons
Sigilray: a deep-blue sky ray with a glowing rune carved across its back and a tail of floating sigils
Islebearer: a colossal, gentle sky beast that carries a floating island on its back, with a White Willow, crystals and hanging roots
Dangerous sky creatures
Splinterwing: a small crystal hornet that attacks in swarms and poisons its prey
Hexeye: a floating eye with bat wings and watching eyestalks whose gaze slows and weakens you
Riftmaw: a rare sky serpent with glowing rift cracks and a burning bite
Walkers and flyers
Kirinling: a little qilin foal with crystal antlers, a glowing mane and cloud hooves. It trots on the grass and takes off on cloud wings. Adopt one with a Glowmelon Slice
Galeroc: a giant magical dragon with crystal horns, an aurora mane and glowing wings. It walks across the highlands and soars high above. It is calm unless you attack it
In the food web
Lanternfins hunt Wisplets, Seraphins and Vespercloaks hunt Moonmotes and Wisplets, Phoenixlings hunt Wisplets and Lanternfins, Sigilrays and the Islebearer feed on Lanternfins, Hexeyes and Riftmaws hunt the bigger flyers, and the Galeroc hunts Kirinlings and grazers
Wisplets, Moonmotes, Lanternfins and Kirinlings move in flocks
Wisplets and Seraphins pollinate crops and groom grazers
Splinterwings and Hexeyes can join Soul Storm waves
A separate sky
The sky creatures have their own spawning and their own limits, so they never take space from the creatures that already live in the Sift
Big flyers cruise high in the sky, and the giant ones (Islebearer, Riftmaw and Galeroc) are rare and never crowd together
🐰 The Bubblebun
The Glimmerkit is now the Bubblebun: a blue slime bunny with long ears, a cotton tail and little stars glowing inside it
It moves with real slime-bunny hops and has a wobbly, squishy jelly body that stretches in the air and squishes when it lands
Bubblebuns live in groups of 3 to 5, play together, hop on each other and ride on each other's heads for a moment
They love to bathe in Ichor Ponds and now also live there
They stay gentle and are hunted by Sifterlings, Gnashlings and Ichor Lurkers
You can still adopt one with a Yellow Bloom. Bubblebuns you already adopted stay yours
🌈 New Ichor Look
Ichor is now a smooth, glowing rainbow liquid that shows every color at once
The rainbow slowly flows across the surface as one seamless sheet, with no block-by-block pattern
Ichor works exactly as before and stays in the same places
⚔️ Boss Arenas
The three guardians and the Gnashmaw now live in their own rare battle arenas instead of appearing at random:
The Colossus Pit (Ravines): a sunken sculk arena with Echo Stone walls, soul-lit pillars and a Frozen Souls altar
The Titan's Crown (Sifter Canyon): a raised ring of tall Sifter pillars joined by brick lintels, with glyph floors and soulflame braziers
The Empress Garden (Singer's Meadow): a walled willow garden with flower beds, thornbloom borders, blossom arches and a chime crystal dais
The Gnashmaw Den (Humbler Huskland): a bone-ringed sand pit with leaning tusks and a soulflame fire, where the Gnashmaw waits with its Gnashlings
Each arena has a reward chest
Find them with `/locate structure the\_sift:colossus\_arena`, `titan\_arena`, `empress\_arena` or `gnashmaw\_arena`, or teleport next to one with `/sift arena <colossus|titan|empress|gnashmaw>`
The Veilkeeper still sleeps beside its monolith in the Silent Meridian
Arena bosses stay near their arena and slowly recover when nobody is fighting them
Bosses now appear only in their arenas. Soul Storms bring stronger waves instead of bosses
🍉 Glowmelons and Duskmelons
Two new Sift melons: the Glowmelon (a teal watermelon with violet stripes, glowing pink flesh and a soft glow) and the Duskmelon (a rose-gold melon with a cream net and cool aqua flesh)
Rarely found growing wild on the grass of Wild Meadows, Singer's Meadow, Lullaby Hills and the Willow Highlands
Craft seeds from a slice and plant them on Sift Farmland or Farmland. They grow faster on Sift Farmland and grow their fruit next to the stem, just like melons
Bone Meal grows them too, and bees and Bloomkites help them along
Craft nine slices into a melon block. Village farmers buy Glowmelon Slices and sell Duskmelon Seeds
🐝 Bees Live in Their Hives
Glimmerbees no longer appear out of nowhere. They only come out of Glimmerbee Nests and Hives, like vanilla bees
Wild nests are found with bees inside, and nests are now a bit more common on White Willows
Bees fly out to pollinate, come back with nectar, and go inside to rest. They head home at dusk, sleep through the night and stay in during rain
A full hive can raise a new bee inside
Harvesting a hive without a campfire or Soulflame Brazier below sends the bees inside out to attack
Breaking a hive releases its bees. With Silk Touch, the bees and honey stay inside the hive
Hive bees no longer take space from other Sift creatures
The Glimmer Honey Block has a new glossy, see-through look
🌿 World
Grassy biomes now have short and tall grass on about half of their grass blocks, scattered naturally instead of covering almost everything
The purple grass of the Silent Meridian is lighter, on about a fifth of its blocks
Wild Meadows and Singer's Meadow are larger, flatter and more open, with fewer White Willows, and the Sifter Canyon now rises at their edges instead of cutting into them
The Sifter Canyon and its red spires are now more common across the Sift, in patches that no longer stretch on forever
Sifter spires now rise in groups of 3 or 4, with one tall central spire and shorter ones around it
The Sift Portal has a new look: one smooth, glowing sheet of swirling blues across the whole portal instead of separate tiles
Short and tall Sift grass glows softly in the dark
Islebearers are seen more often, over more biomes
The rare mix of red and turquoise grass between biomes is unchanged
🏰 The Illager Stronghold
A huge underground fortress with three floors, reached from a gatehouse on the surface:
Barracks: bunk beds, a mess hall, armories and a training yard
Soul Forge: a glowing Ichor reactor, blast furnaces, machinery and an alchemy lab
Vault and Prison: treasure chests on pedestals, a Ravager pen, and captured Sift villagers you can free
New technology: Soul Lifts. Jump on one to rise to the next floor, or sneak on it to go down. A service ladder also connects every floor to the surface
At the bottom, an Illager portal leads to the arena of the Supreme Evoker and the Monstrous Opus
Guarded by vindicators, pillagers, evokers and an illusioner
🎶 The Singer and Singer's Meadow
The Singer's Portal now holds a real, working Sift portal
The Chorister is now the Singer: a tall, shaggy turquoise creature with a long neck, white antlers and outstretched arms that is always humming happily
Singer's Meadow has a new look: red sculk ground under tall blue grass, patches of green, winding soil paths, walls of red stone, many Ichor pools and White Willows draped in pale vines
New structure: the Singer's Portal, a great red and blue arch on a small hill, surrounded by crates and tall blue walls, where the Singer and Soulwards gather. Find it with `/locate structure the\_sift:singers\_portal`
Singers and Soulwards are more common in Singer's Meadow
⛰️ Lullaby Hills
Lullaby Hills now have red stone cliffs and soil-topped hills with patches of green grass
Soulwards now live in Lullaby Hills and gather in the Carapace
🌈 Ichor
Ichor ponds now form only in the Ichor Ponds, the Humbler Huskland and Singer's Meadow
Touching Ichor drains your souls first. Only when you have no souls left does it burn you
🦴 Humbler Huskland
New creature: the Jellyhop, a bouncy jelly cube that hops around the Huskland. Jump on top of it and it launches you high into the air. Tame it with Blub Jelly and bring it along as a living trampoline
The Huskland has a new look: pale Bone Sand with patches of blush sand, winding dark Husk Gravel paths, sunken craters, shallow glowing Ichor pools, stepped teal Husk Slate mesas, boulders and pillars crowned with red plants, and more red grass
The Huskland is larger, and its giant bone structures appear much more often
Three new blocks: Bone Sand, Husk Gravel and Husk Slate
The Gnashmaw Den is now built from Bone Sand and Husk Slate
New bone structure: the Titan Spine, a giant serpent-like backbone that arches in and out of the sand with spikes and ribs
Ribcages, tusk gates and titan hands are now as common as the Titan Skull instead of being replaced by it
Deep chasms now cut through the Huskland, with walls of blue Tidestone and Husk Slate topped with sand
New block: Bounce Jelly. Step on it to get launched high into the air, with no fall damage when you land on it. You'll find it at the bottom of chasms (your way out) and next to tall mesas. Craft it from 3 Blub Jelly and a Slime Ball
New bone structure: the Hollow Humbler Husk, the dried shell of a giant creature you can walk into, with a treasure chest inside
🏆 Arena Rewards
Defeating a boss in its arena now spawns a reward chest. Each boss has its own signature named item:
Gnashmaw: Gnashmaw's Cleaver
Sculk Colossus: Colossus Plate
Spire Titan: Spire Breaker
Bloom Empress: Empress's Thorn
Veilkeeper: Veilstep Boots
Splinterwing Queen: Splinterwing Crown
Supreme Evoker: Evoker's Pact
Monstrous Opus: Opus Hammer
Every chest also has boss materials, a Sift enchanted book, and diamonds, emeralds, souls and XP
📖 Bestiary Ranks
The Sift Bestiary now has 5 ranks, reached at 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 recorded creatures
Each rank gives a reward (Titan Marrow, diamonds, souls and more) and its own advancement
The Bestiary shows your current rank and how many entries you need for the next one
☁️ Floating Islands
Floating islands, which appear in many biomes, can now hold a Sky Shrine with a chime altar and a treasure chest, the ruins of a sky camp, or a patch of Glowmelons
Sky creatures sometimes live on them
🧭 Find Every Structure
All built structures in the Sift can now be found with `/locate structure`:
`the\_sift:sift\_village`
`the\_sift:sifter\_ruins`
`the\_sift:ruined\_sift\_portal`
`the\_sift:illager\_soul\_excavation`

🏘️ Living Villages
Every village now has a Workshop (smithing table, anvil, furnace, grindstone, barrels and a chest) with a Smith, and a Market with two stalls and a Cook
Villages change with their biome: white willow in the Wild Meadows, red bricks and blue Tidestone in Singer's Meadow, and a new Huskland village built from Blush Sandstone and bone
Sift Villagers now open doors, walk to their workstations during the day and go home at night
Ringing a bell sends nearby Sift Villagers running home for a while
Hostile Sift creatures now hunt Sift Villagers, and Resonant Golems defend them
Villagers keep their doorways clear of leaves and plants, and every house has a path to the village square
Sift villages now have a chapel with a bell tower, a chime crystal altar and candles, tended by a new Chanter villager who sells Bloom Tea, candles, Ichor Elixirs, Soul Gummies and bottles of experience
Villages have an extra house
🗺️ Maps and Survival
Paper can now be made in the Sift from Soulreed or Duskwheat, so books, maps and bookshelves are craftable
Husk Gravel can be crafted into Flint, and White Willow Vines into String
Sift Cartographers sell blank maps and four Explorer Maps that lead to the nearest unexplored Sifter ruins, Sift village, boss arena or Splinterwing Nest, and Meridian monolith
Soul Keepers sell Obsidian
🐉 Riding
Adopted Kirinlings and Galerocs can now be ridden: right-click with an empty hand
Look up and move forward to take off, steer by looking, and look down to land
Galerocs can now be adopted with a Glowmelon
🫧 Blubs and Titan Marrow
New creature: the Blub, a little jelly that lives and swims in the Ichor pools of the Huskland. It drops Blub Jelly, which lets you swim safely through Ichor for a minute
Chests half-buried beside the giant bones of the Huskland may hold Titan Marrow, which permanently adds a heart of health (up to five)
👑 The Splinterwing Queen
A new mini-boss rules over rare Splinterwing Nests, floating crystal islands high above the meadows, highlands and canyons
Climb the hanging vines to reach the nest, where the Queen summons her swarm and dives at intruders
Defeat her for the Queen's Stinger, a sword that poisons what it hits, plus a nest chest full of treasure
Find nests with `/locate structure the\_sift:splinter\_nest` or the Arena Explorer Map
🍼 Young and Colors
Color variants now also differ in shape: some are bigger and stockier, with a larger head, longer ears and a bushier tail, while others are slimmer and taller
Many gentle Sift creatures now have young: they are smaller and grow up over a day. Young are born from breeding, sometimes appear in the wild, and you can make one by using a spawn egg on an adult of the same kind. No separate spawn eggs are needed
Twenty creatures now come in three color variants, from Bubblebuns and Mossnibs to Kirinlings and Blubs
✨ Enchanting
Vanilla enchanted books and the enchanting table now work on all Siftite and Resonant tools, weapons and armor
⚔️ Sift Creatures vs Illagers
Every Sift creature that can fight, hostile or neutral, now attacks Pillagers, Vindicators, Evokers, Illusioners and Ravagers on sight in the Sift
Bosses, Glimmerbees and gentle creatures stay out of it, and companions told to stay keep their place
⚖️ Balance
Trade fixes: obsidian is cheaper, the Weaver sells Bounce Jelly, the Smith buys Gnasher Fangs and the Cook buys Blub Jelly
Sifterlings are easier: less health, weaker bites, a little slower, smaller and fewer groups, and they call fewer friends from far away
