To get to the survival dimension surround the portal with oak wood (the one that has the same texture around all sides, not a log)
In the crafting table place flint and steel in the middle and metal above it

The lava dimension is like the overworld, but there is no lava, only water
The sandbox dimension, to make the portal, place one piece of packed sand in the middle of the crafting table and above it place a flint and steel. Then make a portal with packed sand
To create packed sand, put 4 pieces of sand in the crafting table
The mining dimension, to make the portal, place one piece of granite in the middle of the crafting table and above it place a flint and steel. Then make a portal with granite (now granite has a use lol)
The mining dimension is designed for mining there is only stone and ores. More ores spawn in the mining dimension
The war dimension, to make the portal, place one piece of andesite in the middle of the crafting table and above it place a flint and steel. Then make a portal with andesite (now andesite has a use too lol)
The war dimension has more things you can craft like pistols
The pistol, to craft it place a stick in the bottom middle slot in a crafting table, then a piece of metal (You can find it in the war dimension) in the left middle slot in the crafting grid and another in the middle
The pistols ammo, to get it place a piece of metal in the middle of a crafting table, you will get 30 bullets
The jungle dimension, to make the portal, place one piece of jungle planks in the middle of the crafting table and above it place a flint and steel. Then make a portal with jungle planks
