Po2432's Modder's License 1.0

By exercising the Licensed Rights (defined below), the Licensee accepts and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Po2432's Modder's License 1.0 (“Public License”).
To the extent this Public License may be interpreted as a contract, the Licensee is granted the Licensed Rights in consideration of acceptance of these terms and conditions, and the Licensor grants such rights in consideration of the benefits the Licensor receives from making the Licensed Material available under these terms and conditions.

1. Definitions

Licensor: The original creator of the mod who retains ownership of both source code and associated textures or assets.
Licensee: Any individual or entity granted limited rights under this license to use or distribute the mod under specified conditions.
Mod: A standalone or supplemental software package intended to alter, enhance, or expand an existing game, typically developed by independent creators outside the original game developer or publisher. Mods may include changes to gameplay mechanics, assets, user interfaces, or add entirely new content.
Licensed Material: Refers to the software defined as “the mod,” including its code, textures, assets, and documentation.
Modpack: A compilation of multiple mods packaged and distributed together.
Official Mod Page: The original web page hosting the mod as designated by the Licensor.
Attribution: Acknowledgment of the Licensor’s ownership and credit through text, links, or disclaimers as required in this license.
Commercial Use: Any use of the Licensed Material that is intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation, including but not limited to: selling, licensing, or monetizing the mod itself, its derivatives, or products/services that integrate or promote it.

2. Ownership and Eligibility

Only the Licensor, who owns both the source code and all associated textures and assets, is authorized to license the mod under the terms herein.
Use of this license by any party not meeting the ownership requirement is prohibited.

2.5 Scope of License

This license applies exclusively to Mods as defined above. It may not be applied to any other type of software, digital product, or creative work that does not meet the criteria of a Mod.

Use of this license for assets, programs, frameworks, applications, standalone games, or any content not intended as a mod for an existing game is strictly prohibited.

3. Licensed Use

The Licensee is granted limited permission to use the Licensed Material under the following conditions:

a. Modpack Inclusion

Licensee is permitted to include the mod in modpacks only if:

Proper credit is provided, including:
- A hyperlink to the official mod page in the modpack description,
- Listing the mod in the appropriate relations section, if available,
- A visible disclaimer stating: “All mods are properties of their respective authors.”

b. Redistribution Restrictions

Licensee is not permitted to redistribute the mod, in full or in part, on any platform or under any circumstance.

c. Media Creation

Licensee is permitted to create videos or other media showcasing the mod exclusively on YouTube, provided that:

Clear attribution is included in both the video and its description, identifying the creator as the Licensor,
A hyperlink to the official mod page is included in the video description,
Publication or sharing of such content on platforms other than YouTube (e.g., Twitch or Instagram) is not permitted.

d. Limitations of Use

Licensee is not permitted to:

Modify the mod,
Reverse-engineer the mod,
Resell the mod,
Sublicense the mod,
Incorporate the mod into closed-source commercial projects,
Use the mod for any Commercial Purpose.

4. Other Terms and Conditions

The Licensor shall not be bound by any additional or different terms or conditions communicated by the Licensee unless expressly agreed in writing.
Any arrangements, understandings, or agreements regarding the Licensed Material not stated herein are considered separate from and independent of the terms and conditions of this license.

5. Interpretation

For the avoidance of doubt:

This license does not limit or restrict any use of the Licensed Material that could lawfully be made without permission under this license.
If any provision of this license is deemed unenforceable:
- It shall be automatically reformed to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
- If reformation is not possible, it shall be severed without affecting the rest of the license.
No term or condition shall be waived, nor compliance considered consented to, unless expressly agreed in writing by the Licensor.
Nothing in this license constitutes or may be interpreted as:
- A limitation upon any privileges or immunities that apply to the Licensor or Licensee,
- A waiver of such privileges or immunities, including protection from legal processes of any jurisdiction or authority.

6. Liability Disclaimer

The Licensed Material is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
The Licensor shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from the use, misuse, or inability to use the mod.
The Licensee assumes all risks associated with downloading, installing, and running the mod.

7. Termination

Any violation of these terms results in automatic termination of the license rights granted herein without notice. Upon termination, the Licensee must immediately cease all use and distribution of the Licensed Material.

8. Irrevocability

Once the Licensor releases a mod under this license, the terms and conditions of this license cannot be revoked, altered, or canceled for that specific release of the Licensed Material.
Future versions of the mod may be released under different terms, but the version already published under this license shall remain governed by it indefinitely.
