Et Futurum is a mod dedicated in bringing the future features added by Mojang to the current most popular version of minecraft.
Currently Et Futurum brings some features from 1.8.X to 1.7.10 including:
-Prismarine temples (no guardians)
-Granite, Diorite, Andesite
-Inverted Daylight Sensor
-Silk Touching mushroom blocks
-Sponges that absorb water
-Slime Blocks (don't work with pistons)
-Different types of wooden doors, fences and gates
-Heads that render with overlay and in 3D when in the player's inventory
-New Enchanting mechanic (using lapis lazuli)
-Skulls drop from charged creeper kills
-Potions of Leaping
-Breaking bushes now drops from 0 to 2 sticks (1.9 mechanic)
-End Stone Bricks
-Probably more stuff I can't remember
Features I will NOT port (but the mod is open source, so anyone is welcome to):
-How do I set my player's model to the Alex one?
There's two ways!
1. Using a command:
You can at any time (regardless of whether you're an admin or not) simply type /setPlayerModel alex (or steve) to have your model set. This should save between sections, so you should only have to do it once.
2. Tweaking your skin's texture file and re-uploading it:
Et Futurum will read the texture file and check if an unused area of your skin is blank (alpha equals to 0), and if it is, it will automatically force your player to use the Alex model.
The area that MUST be fully transparent is highlighted in the image below with a bright pink rectangle
And all of this is compatible with any 1.8 Resource Pack!
Any of the features can be individually disabled in the config file! Want banners but no temples? Easy-peasy!
PS.: Also added the old gravel. It's not from the future but I like the old texture as well as the old one... so why not have both? =P
-Can I use this on my modpack?
Yes! No need to ask. Really!
