Estaciones Festivas

Seasonal chests, Halloween scares, Santa gifts and configurable New Year, Mexico, US and Ireland festivals activated by real-world dates.

Estaciones Festivas / Festive Seasons

Minecraft Java 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1.259 · Java 21 · Beta 0.13.0

Estaciones Festivas changes your world according to the real-world date. Halloween, Christmas, Day of the Dead, New Year, Mexican and US Independence Days, and St Patrick’s Day bring seasonal designs to normal, double and trapped chests. Sounds, particles, creatures, Santa gifts and scares are configurable from the in-game menu.

Personal scare controls

In Scare settings, each player can turn chest scares off completely or choose visual intensity, optional flashes, volume and frequency. Flashes start disabled. Personal frequency scales down the chance set by the world; personal volume applies to scare sounds. A second page keeps image, video and WAV imports and preview together. Only preference numbers reach the server; media files stay on your computer.

Create your own festival

The new Festival Creator lets you define one custom event per world: name, start/end dates, region, one of seven included chest designs, one of five original sounds (or silence), and a loot preset with a 0–100% chance. Review the chest texture and play the selected sound before saving. Your event takes priority on overlapping dates. Chest rewards have a five-minute cooldown per player. The creator saves from a local world; dedicated server admins edit [evento_propio] in world/serverconfig/estacionesfestivas-server.toml. The active event, name and chest style sync to connected clients. Presets use assets already shipped with the mod; importing custom files for this event is not supported in this beta.

Events

  • Halloween (October 1–31): seasonal chests, cave/witch/heartbeat ambience, temporary ghosts and bats, and optional scares on unopened structure chests. Import a PNG/JPG image, H.264 MP4 video and separate WAV sound for personal scares.
  • Christmas (December 1–30): festive chests, snow particles and a rare Santa who throws a gift chest with configurable loot.
  • New Year (December 31–January 1): original chime and chest design in every region. Use a firework rocket on a bell for a chance to earn a diamond.
  • Mexico (MX): Independence Day on September 16 and Day of the Dead on November 1–2. Use red dye on a bell for a chance at an emerald, or offer an orange tulip to a lit candle for a chance at amethyst and a harmless ghost visit.
  • United States (US): Independence Day on July 4. Use blue dye on a bell for a chance at two iron ingots.
  • Ireland (IE): St Patrick’s Day on March 17. Use a fern on an empty cauldron for a chance at a gold ingot.

These five activities grant experience. The new Activities menu category lets you disable each one, set its reward chance, and change the cooldown per player and festival. Dates are editable. Regional events require selecting the world region manually; the menu only suggests one based on your system locale. No IP lookup is used.

Open Mods → Estaciones Festivas → Config or press O inside a world. Operators can force an event, summon Santa or test a scare. For multiplayer, install the JAR on both client and server; the server syncs the active event and region. For chest-renderer conflicts, set usar_renderizador_cofres = false in the local config/estacionesfestivas-client.toml and restart the client.

Requiere Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.259 y Java 21.

Hi, I'm Mexican, I've been doing this since 2026, and I don't know how things will go in the future, but anyway, I'm writing this on October 12, 2026. If all goes well, I'll have mods with lots of downloads; today I only have 600
