Eroded World has moved from alpha into beta.
This version focuses on stabilizing the core gameplay systems, expanding survival mechanics, adding new Eroded World items, improving death recovery, and polishing documentation for players and server owners.

Core Systems
Smart Death & Recovery
Death is punishing, but not unfair.
When a player dies, their inventory can be stored in a special Death Ender Chest at or near the death location.
The player can use a Death Compass to find their way back. Death recovery is meant to be tense and dangerous, not impossible.

- Recovery pressure after respawn
- Configurable death system behavior
Energy & Stamina
Energy represents the player's physical condition.
Many actions can consume energy, including movement, mining, crafting, combat movement, and survival actions.
Energy affects how safely and efficiently a player can survive.
Features include:
- Energy HUD with configurable position
- Sprint energy drain
- Dodge energy cost
- Mining energy cost
- Crafting energy cost
- Passive regeneration
- Food-based recovery
- Sleeping recovery
- Exhaustion and fatigue behavior
- Emergency recovery items
If the player runs out of energy, certain actions may become limited until they recover.
True Darkness System
Darkness is not cosmetic.
In Eroded World, dark caves and unsafe areas can become dangerous even if the player tries to rely on brightness settings.
Players are expected to use light sources, prepare before exploring, and avoid entering deep darkness without supplies.

Territory & Ecosystem
The world remembers what players do.
Mining, pollution, and environmental pressure can increase local threat. As threat rises, the world becomes more dangerous.

- Regional threat tracking
- Mining pressure
- Ecosystem degradation
- Ecosystem recovery
- Cave collapse risk
- Territory-based mob danger
- Mutated mob titles and buffs
- Spawn protection support
Careless mining and repeated disturbance can make an area unsafe over time.
Mining & Cave Collapse
The underground is unstable.
Mining too much in one area can increase collapse risk, especially deep underground.
Features include:
- Mining score tracking
- Configurable collapse thresholds
- Collapse cooldowns
- Stabilizer block checks
- Underground collapse limits
- Possible hostile mob events during collapses
Players are encouraged to support tunnels, light mining areas, and avoid careless deep mining.
Crafting & Quality
Crafting is connected to energy and progression.
Items can have quality tiers, and crafting can consume energy depending on recipe difficulty and materials.

- Poor, Standard, and Excellent quality tiers
- Durability modifiers

Better preparation and progression can lead to better results.
Eroded Loot System
Loot is controlled, configurable, and progression-friendly.
Special containers can receive Eroded loot based on server configuration.
Features include:
- Configurable loot chance
- Configurable maximum items per chest
- Custom loot entries
- Registry ID based item configuration
- Admin loot containers
- Support for survival supplies, tools, armor, materials, and rare rewards
Server owners can make loot more generous, more punishing, or more progression-focused.
Combat & Movement
Movement has a cost.
Sprinting and dodging can consume energy, making combat and exploration more tactical.

- Sprint energy drain
- Dodge mechanic
- Dodge cooldown
- Dodge distance configuration
- Sideways and backward dodge options
- Energy-based movement limits
Running away from danger is possible, but not free.
Spawn Protection
Spawn can be protected from griefing and unsafe events.
