ErgoMoveX is a client-side Minecraft ergonomics mod that gives the X key powerful movement shortcuts and smart inventory actions without replacing vanilla movement controls.
ErgoMoveX turns one configurable key into a practical movement and inventory companion for Minecraft It is designed for players who want smoother traversal and faster container management while keeping the familiar vanilla controls fully intact.
Movement shortcuts
- Tap X once to toggle sprint.
- Tap X twice within the configurable time window to toggle crouching.
- Hold X to sprint with automatic jumping while the key is held.
- Release X to immediately stop the automatic-jump mode.
- Hold Shift for normal vanilla crouching at any time.
- Double-tap W keeps working exactly as Minecraft vanilla intends; ErgoMoveX does not replace or disable it.
Smart container actions
When a supported interface is open, X becomes a context-aware productivity key:
- Player inventory: sort the main inventory, or hold X to move hotbar contents into it before sorting.
- Chests: sort contents with a tap, or deposit the player inventory and sort with a hold.
- Furnaces: collect finished output, load fuel, and select smeltable items intelligently.
- Crafting tables: start crafting from a valid recipe, craft available output, and use the arrow keys to cycle craftable recipes.
ErgoMoveX is client-side and focused on reducing repetitive inputs, improving accessibility, and making everyday movement and inventory workflows feel more deliberate. Configure the timing values in the ErgoMoveX configuration file to match your preferred play style.
