Epic Recruits

Epic Recruits brings full compatibility and dynamic, balanced combat mechanics between Recruits and Epic Fight Mod. Recruits now seamlessly utilize Epic Fight attack animations, stance systems, and defensive combat behaviors while maintaining balanced, fair, and tactical encounters for players.

Key Features

1. Dynamic Combat & Animations

• Weapon-Adaptive Animations: Recruits dynamically inherit Epic Fight movesets from whichever weapon they hold (swords, rapiers, broadswords, spears, axes, bows, etc.), including modded weapons from Simple Swords, Weapons of Miracles, and other Epic Fight weapon add-ons.
• Weapon Fallback Capabilities: Ensures custom modded weapons fall back cleanly to customattack sequences instead of defaulting to generic animations.

2. Tactical Combat Balance & Fatigue System

• Swing Fatigue & Recovery: After 4 consecutive swings in combat, recruits get fatigued where they actively step back to maintain distance and raise their guard/shield.
• Player Parry & Dodge Counters: Successfully parrying or dodging a recruit attack gives a chance to stagger and stun the recruit, giving players an opening to strike back.

3. Reactive Defense: Parrying & Blocking

• Recruit Defensive Maneuvers: When attacked, recruits have a 40% overall chance to defend, they are able to block and parry attacks.
• Clean Defense Visuals: Blocks and parries are animated and have custom sound and animation.
• Ranged Recruits: Ranged recruits hold distance to their target to the best of their ability.

4. Smart Combat Usability & Fixes

• Combat Menu Lock: Right-clicking a recruit while holding a weapon mid-combat will not open the recruitment UI menu, preventing accidental dialogue popups during battle. The menu remains accessible out of combat or with an unequipped hand.
• Full Multiplayer Support: Server-authoritative calculations with synchronized animations and audio across all connected clients.

Requirements & Dependencies

Compatibility

• All Custom Weapon Datapacks / Mods: Any modded weapon registered with Epic Fight item capabilities will automatically function with recruits.
• Dedicated Servers & LAN: Fully compatible with multiplayer environments.

Known issues:
Certain special weapons that use segmented models or sheathed katanas do not animate properly.
