Entity And Block Waypoints

This add-on for Xaero's Minimap automatically creates waypoints whenever selected entities spawn. You can configure which entities and blocks to track.

Manual blocks scan added.

WARNING:
To avoid excessive waypoint creation and potential performance issues, we recommend tracking only rare or infrequently spawning entities or blocks.

HOW IT WORK:
You can config entries using:

Mods → Entity Waypoints → Config;
or
"O" key in game to open config menu (O by default).

Type of waypoint: The type of waypoint you want: for Blocks or Entities.

For Entities:

• Entity ID: you have to set the correct mob id using this syntax: <mod_id:mob_id> (Eg. minecraft:armor_stand);

For Blocks:

• Block ID: you have to set the correct block id using this syntax: <mod_id:block_id> (Eg. minecraft:diamond_ore);
• Offset Y: the Y offset of waypoint relative to block (Integer only. Eg.: 3; -5);

For Both:

• Waypoint name:  Is the name of your waypoint and the entry;
• Waypoint symbol: Is the symbol shown on the minimap;
• Auto Waypoint Remove: Do you want to remove automatically the waypoint on mob death or on block destroy? OFF by default.
• Waypoint Color: Is the color of all waypoints of the entry.

For Blocks, the scan is manual pressing "K" key by default. (Scan radius 10 blocks)

You can set waypoints for multiple mobs with "+" button on the right of first entry.
With "-" you can remove the entry.

COMMANDS:
/entitywaypoint is the mod base command.
reload: it will force the config reload.
scan: it will force the configured entities scan.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
The following changes will be made on August 12, 2026:

• The mod name will change from Entity Waypoints to Entity and Block Waypoints.
• The mod logo will change.
• Porting to the latest version of Minecraft.
• Changed the config file name (from "entitywaypoint.json" to "entityandblockwaypoint.json." You can simply change the name of the JSON file; configuration management will remain unchanged. WARNING: you have to set entity id again on entries.)
• Added block tracking within a 10-block radius. (This parameter will be adjustable in the future.)
• Mod 2.0.0.0 released for: 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 26.2
