What's new

Enhanced Raid Dens 2.0.4

This release brings together the fixes and improvements developed since the last public release, Enhanced Raid Dens 2.0.1, including the previously unpublished 2.0.2 and 2.0.3 changes.

World Boss Battles

  • Fixed simultaneous attacks from separate battles losing damage contributions or producing incomplete damage rankings.
  • Separated each battle's locally observed health from the shared HP pool, preventing synchronization from creating or discarding damage.
  • Kept duplicate damage notifications from counting the same hit twice.
  • Added post-dispatch synchronization after Cobblemon's late native updates, preventing outdated health from returning on battle interfaces.
  • Added handling for local healing and other health updates. Healing in an individual battle does not restore the World Boss's shared HP.
  • Improved session cleanup and cancellation of delayed synchronization callbacks.
  • Delayed label verification and added one clean retry for incomplete labels.
  • Updated the default contribution thresholds: F 0% · E 1% · D 5% · C 8% · B 12% · A 18% · S 37% · SS 55% · SSS 75% · X 95%.

Ordinary Raids And Boss Moves

  • Extended move validation and runtime repair to ordinary raids across tiers and invocation methods, while preserving coherent existing sets.
  • Added a final loadout check before raid battle teams are sent to Cobblemon.
  • Corrected 64 built-in raid definitions containing incomplete, duplicate or Raid Dens-blocked moves.
  • Added boss PP protection against normal consumption and PP-draining effects, with diagnostics confirming its installation in the battle engine.
  • Strengthened strategic move selection and auditing of inherited boss properties.
  • Fixed leaving an AutoSpawnOnPlayer raid before any battle starts consuming an attempt or removing the raid as though it had been defeated.
  • Bound automatic-raid callbacks to the exact raid instance instead of its shared boss definition.

PP protection prevents PP exhaustion from forcing Struggle. It does not remove other legitimate restrictions, such as Disable or Taunt, that can leave no usable move.

The automatic attempt limit still applies to AutoSpawnOnPlayer encounters; it is not a new limit on raids summoned by items, Designer or spawn commands.

Encounter Isolation And Cleanup

  • Added per-encounter state for crystal identity, Tera type, Designer capacity, arena profile, attempts and remaining duration.
  • Kept invocation-specific changes separate from shared Raid Dens definitions.
  • Replaced implicit arena-profile transfer with explicit encounter/region links.
  • Checked spawn limits and preconditions before cleanup.
  • Restricted cleanup to the encounter's owned entities and labels.
  • Replaced ERD-managed vanilla forceload commands with shared, reference-counted chunk tickets, preserving pre-existing vanilla forceloads.
  • Separated arena theme from family layout while preserving effective legacy configuration choices.

Captures And Rewards

  • Replaced duplicate capture decisions with a single probability calculation combining ERD, Poké Ball, Raid Dens and charm modifiers.
  • Matched the displayed capture probability to that calculation.
  • Preserved Master Ball success when capture is permitted by the encounter; public event hooks can still refuse a reward.
  • Prepared rewarded Pokémon once before the Raid Dens reward event, preserving their generated properties for subsequent delivery attempts.
  • Added a persistent World Boss reward reserve with stable identities and saved delivery receipts.
  • Added /erd rewards, /erd rewards claim <id> and /erd rewards claim all.
  • Kept pending rewards in the reserve when inventory space is unavailable, without dropping them on the ground.
  • Split loot exceeding 27 stacks into separately tracked packages.
  • Distinguished valid empty loot from missing tables or generation failures.
  • Fixed World Boss loot lookup after resource reloads and reward generation for disconnected contributors.
  • Separated earned titles from their effects, retaining interrupted or ambiguous effects for administrator review.

Configuration And Persistent Data

  • Made configuration changes transactional: validate and save before publishing the new active configuration.
  • Preserved the last valid configuration when reload fails.
  • Improved validation of resource identifiers, numeric bounds, contribution thresholds and long durations.
  • Preserved explicit zero, false and empty-list settings.
  • Added versioned per-world storage under data/enhanced_raid_dens/, with retained healthy generations and diagnostics for unreadable or externally changed files.
  • Added encounter checkpoints at state transitions and every 200 server ticks.
  • Added persistence and restoration paths for encounter identity, World Boss HP, contributions and remaining duration; old individual battles are not restored.
  • Added explicit legacy-data migration with preview, hashes, conflict checks and preservation of the original files.
  • Added /erd storage status, /erd storage migration preview and /erd storage migration apply <token>.

Commands And Localization

  • Fixed /erd debug disconnecting clients while its interface was encoded.
  • Fixed command-tree serialization of resource identifier arguments.
  • Improved error results for validation, reload, configuration changes and refused raid removal.
  • Clarified that SetAutoSpawnTypePercent is a legacy weight alias and displayed the corresponding effective probability.
  • Expanded read-only raid audits and English/French localization.
  • Reorganized World Boss administration under /erd wboss config, /erd wboss debug and /erd wboss playerhelp.

Required And Optional Compatibility

  • Updated the Raid Dens integration for Cobblemon Raid Dens 0.11.4.
  • Hardened the optional Mega Showdown and Cobblemon Alphas bridges so an unavailable integration disables the affected feature instead of being loaded unconditionally.
  • Kept Mega Showdown-specific battle and rendering mixins conditional on that mod being installed.
  • Kept Zamega as an optional Mega-raid integration.
  • Explicitly listed WTHIT as optional and kept the raid-crystal tooltip integration conditional on its presence.
Optional integration Minimum declared by ERD Versions present in the test stack
Mega Showdown 1.7.1 1.9.3+1.7.3+1.21.1 on server and clients
Zamega 1.6.1 Server: 1.7.5-hotfix; clients: 1.7.6
Cobblemon Alphas 1.4.1 1.4.1 on server and clients
WTHIT 12.5.4 12.5.4 on clients

These integrations remain optional; their absence does not turn them into requirements for the base addon. Related raid features still require the appropriate integration.

The versions above identify the actual test stack, not a recommendation to mix server/client versions or a guarantee that every optional feature and every version above the declared minimum has been fully qualified. Full minimal-stack and optional-combination testing remains outstanding.

Important Upgrade Notes And Known Limitations

Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21, Fabric, Cobblemon and Cobblemon Raid Dens. Install the same ERD JAR on the server and clients, together with the dependencies required by the chosen mod versions.

Back up the complete world, player data and configuration before upgrading.

Legacy global ERD data is not automatically imported into the new per-world stores. Follow the migration guide: all encounters must be closed, and applying a migration pauses ERD until the server is restarted.

Existing command blocks using the former direct World Boss administration routes must also be updated.
