End Remastered aims to make your Minecraft experience more challenging by emphasizing the adventurous side of the game. In brief, 11 new Ender Eyes are added along with a giant castle and a challenging dungeon which replace Vanilla Strongholds. We currently support 1.16.3, 1.16.4 and 1.16.5 (We have a beta release for 1.16.1, but we would not suggest using it, since it lacks so many features due to incompatibility.)
Exploration is the main focus of End Remastered, "It's not the destination, but the journey." In order to go to the End and beat the Ender Dragon, you will have to find the 11 custom eyes by exploring vanilla structures and fighting vanilla bosses. Once you have the eyes, you have the choice to follow them until you reach an End Gate or to trade with a Cartographer to obtain a map to the End Castle.
After reaching one of these structures, you will have to find the hidden portal room, place your eyes in the portal frames and, finally, activate it by using a powered core on the End Creator (the grey frame)

The Mod Content:
The Eyes are a really important part of End Remastered, just like Vanilla Ender Eyes, they allow you to activate the portal to the End. However, unlike Vanilla Ender Eyes, they are not dropped by Endermen but must be found by exploring, fighting and mining. For more info, click the spoiler tag below or learn more about them by clicking on the banner above this paragraph.
1. Old Eye - Found in Desert Pyramids
Legends say this eye once belonged to one of the great Sandworms
2. Nether Eye - Found in Nether Fortresses
It was lost by a demon in the battle between the Aether and the Nether
3. Cold Eye - Found in Igloos
One of the last artifacts left behind by the Iceologers before they all suddenly vanished from the world
4. Rogue Eye - Found in Jungle Pyramids
This eye is believed to have given our ancestors the knowledge of Redstone
5. Black Eye - Found in Buried Chests
Pirates say it gave sight to the legendary Black Pearl
6. Magical Eye - Dropped by Evokers
Without this eye, the Evoker has no power
7. Lost Eye - Found in Mineshafts
It is told that it was forged by the first blacksmiths of time
8. Corrupted Eye - Found in Pillager Outposts
The eye of a greedy king that faded in solitude. Legend says it will bring infinite fortune to its owner
9. Wither Eye - Dropped by The Wither
Has witnessed destruction. Maybe it also witnessed your stuff disappear
10. Guardian Eye - Get it by Killing Elder Guardian
It has seen many warriors drown into the depths of the sea
11. End Crystal Eye - Get it by crafting it using the End Crystal Fragment, a new ore.
It is believed to hold a fragment of the Enderdragon Soul
The End Castle can be found using a Map (However this can be changed in the Config File) that you can obtain by trading with a cartographer. It is a beautiful and massive structure, that focuses on appearance and atmosphere. Click the spoiler tag below to see pictures of this new structure or learn more about it by clicking on the banner above this paragraph.
The End Gate is an extensive dungeon that focuses on exploration, traps and challenges. In order to find the custom portal hidden inside it, you will have to use your creativity to solve 3 difficult puzzles. All rooms are generated randomly, meaning that every End Gate is different, and even the puzzles change from one to the other. It can be found using the Custom Eyes (This can also be changed in the Config File) just like vanilla strongholds. Click the spoiler tag below to see pictures of this new structure or learn more about it by clicking on the banner above this paragraph.
End Remastered also adds some items to the game such as new gear and new tools (and a new ore). Click the spoiler button to see various crafting recipes for the custom Items we added to the game.

Hi there!
I left a post already asking a question, but wanted to come back now that my group and I have progressed further. We just found and activated our first End Portal in the castle! There weren't any Illagers, but I didn't know there were supposed to be any anyway and to be honest we all had a great time exploring the deserted castle town. Everyone on voice chat was shouting in joy and hype when someone found the book with the story in it! We've had such a great time exploring and finding the eyes, it's been a multiple weeks long process and everyone got really into it.
None of us have been to the End before, so we're saving that for another day, but I just wanted to say thanks for putting this mod together and putting so much work into making it such a cool and interesting process. You've brought me and my group a lot of fun times!
Hope the work on getting this compatible with terraforged is going well. amazing mod. Is it okay to use this in my modpack?
this really makes exploring worth it. Having so many new dungeons and such in my modpack the vanilla structures kind of get forgotten about, but this changes that. yet again amazing work the story behind this is superb and makes the end seem more meaningful again.
how is it going with the terraforged compability ?
and is it ok to start/use the mod know with terraforged if it is currently not fixed or use the mod later on in an already existing game ?
i plan to start anew know and i just want to know. i am on 1.16.5

I would not recommend, but you can use TerraForged 2.2 or earlier if you really want to start now. The bug fixing could take a while (something around 2 weeks)
Hello! Seriously love the idea of enhancing the exploration side of this mod. One issue that I have experienced is when finding the End castle illagers are no where to be seen, I’m sure the team is already aware of it.
In reply to FrannyJean:
Hey, thanks for your feedback! I've encountered this issue on my own gameplay and we figured that I had located the castle in my world to see if it was close (which generated it with the illagers) and when the time came to explore and find it a couple of days later, the illagers had despawned. If you used /locate to find the castle before going, it is a known issue, otherwise, we can investigate it further. Hope this helps!
In reply to gilvoisard:
Yeah, no I turned off commands I was in my survival world and the castle was around 300-400 blocks away from spawn. The castle and everything was in tact but the mobs weren’t lol thanks for replying.
In reply to FrannyJean:
Ok then, in that case, the castle chunks maybe generated as you started your world. I assume you did not instantly get to the castle and found it after some time. Anyway, we will assess this issue in the next update!
In reply to gilvoisard:
Thank You for your updates! and yes I did not instantly get to the castle.
Seems to spawn far too many/often the eyes, would be nice if it limited it to 1 in a chest per kind and not have it seemingly in every chest you find...
-Maybe option that disables them from spawning once you do enter the end, since they become not used?
mod doesnt load when using terraforged, cannot locate or get maps from cartographers with terraforged activated
In reply to Girzm:
This is a known issue and we will work on it as quickly as possible
im so happy that i found this this is so cool mod
In reply to leipeleo28:
Thanks! ;)
will there ever be a fabric version?
In reply to r0yistaken:
probably not
Hello, I looked into the mod and am greatly exited to play it. I have a question however. I already have a world I am playing on, and tested to see if adding this mod will work with that alreafy existing world with a backup of it. I checked strongholds as far as 6000 6000 blocks away from any loaded in chunks, to make sure I found strongholds I hadn't loaded yet. But it seems like the ender portal rooms are still vanilla. I read your reply to someane who asked a similar question below and you said that it should still work but the structures will only further away. Do you know how far I need to go to find them? Or is it best to just start a new world at this point?
Thanks in advance! And great job on the mod, feel like the changes made add alot to the experience!
In reply to damdam100:
Hey, you probably figured this out by now! But just in case:
I think End Portals in Strongholds will still be vanilla, because they aren't a part of this mod. In order to find the portals that use the eyes from this mod, you need to find one of the Dungeons or Castles that are generated by this mod specifically, which are separate from the vanilla Strongholds.
