# Cumulative Changelog 2.1.6 — NeoForge 1.21.10 ### Platform & Compatibility * **Target:** Updated for Minecraft `1.21.10`. ### The Level III Overhaul All enchantments have been re-engineered to scale to a standardized cap of **Level III**, converting previously flat or binary enchantments into dynamic, tiered spells: * **Progressive Potency:** *Aqua Affinity*, *Channeling*, *Flame*, *Mending*, and *Multishot* now gain increased mathematical effectiveness with each level. * **Infinity:** Now grants a scaling percentage chance to not consume an arrow per level, and has been updated to work with **all** arrow types. * **Silk Touch:** Now grants a scaling percentage chance per level to successfully preserve the fragile block being mined. * **Curse of Binding:** Now grants a scaling percentage chance per level for the bound armor to persist in the player's inventory upon death. * **Curse of Vanishing:** Now grants a scaling percentage chance per level for the cursed item to permanently delete itself upon death. * **General Balance:** Adjusted global spawn weights and baseline experience costs across the enchantment roster. * **Protection:** Reinstated the baseline *Protection* enchantment back into the general pool. ### Expanded Permissibility * **Cross-Pollinated Ranged Spells:** * Bows can now accept *Multishot*, *Quick Charge*, and *Piercing*. * Crossbows can now accept *Flame*, *Infinity*, *Punch*, and *Power*. * **Universal Melee:** *Sharpness*, *Smite*, *Extermination*, *Impaling*, and *Breach* can now be applied to all melee weapons and harvesting tools. ### Themes & Altar Mechanics * **New Enchantment Theme — Trial:** Unlocked at the Altar by supplying a **Heavy Core**. Grants access to: *Breach*, *Density*, *Multishot*, *Physical Protection*, *Quick Charge*, *Sweeping Edge*, and *Windburst*. * **Indestructible Tomes:** Enchanted Tomes are now strictly immune to item destruction. * **Altar QoL:** Ghost preview items inside the Altar's UI now automatically hide the moment a valid item is placed into the slot. ### Data-Driven Architecture & Configs * **Data-Driven Migration:** Entirely stripped hardcoded enchantment properties; all individual enchantment definitions, caps, and costs are now strictly data-driven. * **Custom Fuel API:** Introduced the item tag `enchanting_overhauled:enchanting_fuel`. Modpack developers can now append custom altar fuels to the registry alongside Lapis Lazuli. * **Configurable Item Capacities:** The maximum quantity of enchantments permitted on a single item can now be customized via the NeoForge config menu *(Note: Requires strict Client/Server parity)*. * **Master Overrides:** Added global kill-switches to the config to completely bypass the mod's custom XP calculations or Tooltip injections if desired. * **Altar Reversion Toggle:** Added a config option making the Altar mineable back into a Vanilla Enchanting Table *(Warning: doing so wipes the active stored Tome data)*. * **Tooltip Formatting:** Added granular accessibility options to customize tooltip visual presentation. ### Bug Fixes * **Critical Fix:** Fixed *Fire Protection* applying a mathematical inverse (increasing burn duration instead of mitigating it). * **Critical Fix:** Resolved a dedicated server-side crash triggered by enchantment tooltip rendering calls. * **World Gen:** Fixed an issue preventing *Library Ruins* from generating in the world. * **Config Engine:** Fixed the Experience Scaling config values failing to push to the live game instance.
