Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Added
- A low-detail copy of the world you have explored is drawn as far terrain beyond your render distance, from 32 up to 2048 chunks away.
- The far terrain is saved to disk per world and per dimension, so it is still there the next time you join.
- Block changes in the chunks around you reach the far terrain.
- Far terrain shows water and plants, and keeps sky and torch light.
- Far terrain follows your Smooth Lighting and See-Through Leaves settings.
- Grass, leaves and water in the far terrain take their colour from the biome and blend across biome borders as your Biome Blend setting says.
- Fog, shading and the water surface match the near terrain where the two meet, so the join does not show.
- Where the terrain you have explored ends, the far terrain closes with a solid face, and open water with a wall up to its surface.
- Blocks that have several models, and plants that stand off-centre, keep the look they have up close.
- Far render distance, Lowest stored level, Worker threads, Detail distance, Fog, Fade and Ingestion are set on one screen opened from the mod list, on a page in Sodium's video settings, or in
config/eminus.json.
Compatibility
- Sodium is supported on NeoForge and Fabric.
