What's new

0.1.1 — High-tier EMC rebalance (Release)

Adds our updated progression prices for Awakened Draconium and chaos materials, with related Draconic items recalculated from the inspected native ProjectE recipe graph.

Enable the updated values

Replacing the JAR alone does not activate the rebalance. Stop Minecraft/the server and add this setting to your existing config/draconic-emc/settings.json:

"rebalanceHighTierPrices": true

Keep your existing custom prices and exclusions. First use "enabled": false to generate a report; after review, stop the game/server, set "enabled": true, and restart. Fresh installations default to report-only, rebalance off and ore overrides off. Do not keep the old and new JAR together.

Updated material prices in the tested pack

  • Awakened Draconium nugget: 1,048,576 EMC.
  • Awakened Draconium ingot/dust: 9,437,184 EMC.
  • Awakened Draconium block: 84,934,656 EMC.
  • Small chaos fragment: 1,048,576 EMC.
  • Medium chaos fragment: 9,437,184 EMC.
  • Large chaos fragment: 84,934,656 EMC.
  • Full chaos shard: 764,411,904 EMC.

The unit floors are configurable. Higher existing family prices can raise these numbers; rebalance does not lower existing positive prices. Nine-to-one compression ratios are exact. The dragon heart also rises to cover the actual consumed awakening ingredients. Related cores, tools, chestpieces, modules and machines receive higher values where native supported recipes propagate the new costs. Fully upgraded equipment remains protected: installed modules and stored contents are not duplicated through transmutation.

Requirements and safeguards

Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.250+ within 21.1, Java 21, ProjectE 1.1.0, Draconic Evolution 3.1.4.633, plus Draconic Evolution's own dependencies.

The optional rebalance additionally requires the inspected ProjectE Integration 8.3.1 fusion mappings and matching counted fusion/awakening recipes. Unknown or changed counted recipes fail the calculation before assignments; normal ProjectE mapping is retained. This add-on does not fix the separate ProjectE Integration/Ice and Fire binary incompatibility found in the local test pack.

Other mods' stored mappings remain unchanged. Explicit zero/blacklist values stay protected, except the four Draconium ores if the existing overrideDraconiumOreBlocks option is explicitly enabled. No direct edits to ProjectE configs, player balances, learned knowledge or worlds. Fusion energy is not included in EMC recipe costs; cross-mod processing can still create economy loops.

Validation

Compiled successfully; six unit tests passed. Isolated full-pack dedicated-server tests covered report-only, enabled assignment and restart. All 179 Draconic item types were priced with the tested enabled profile. 77 existing Draconic high-tier prices increased, 82 existing Draconic prices stayed unchanged, and comparison of 20,331 existing stored mappings found no unexpected differences. All submitted values and all 179 base prices after restart matched the report. Modified/unknown, charged and module-bearing stacks remained protected.

Graphical client gameplay, integrated singleplayer, remote client joining, actual energy-I/O charging and real-owner player-data persistence remain untested for this Draconic add-on. The test copy needed a separate local helper for the unrelated ProjectE Integration/Ice and Fire issue; that helper is not included in this JAR.

Multiplayer changes require server-owner installation/configuration. The add-on adds no items, blocks or custom packets, so remote clients do not require it by implementation; joining without it on the client has not been runtime-tested. Client-only installation cannot change another server's EMC prices.
