What's new
Emberforge 1.2.0 – Mod Compatibility & Create Integration
Metals from other mods
- The Smeltery now melts ores, raw metal, ingots, nuggets, blocks, dusts and plates from other mods via the common Forge tags. Copper, iron, gold, silver, steel etc. from any mod all melt into the matching Emberforge fluid.
- 12 new molten metals for other mods' materials: Tin, Lead, Nickel, Zinc, Aluminum, Osmium, Uranium, Platinum, Bronze, Brass, Invar, Constantan. They only show up when a mod actually adds them, and cast back into that mod's ingots, nuggets and blocks.
- New config option
smeltery.preferredMods: decides which mod's items come out when several mods add the same metal. - New alloys in the Alloy Mixer: Brass (1 Copper + 1 Zinc, e.g. Create), plus Bronze (3 Copper + 1 Tin), Invar (2 Iron + 1 Nickel) and Constantan (1 Copper + 1 Nickel) when a mod like Thermal or Mekanism adds Tin or Nickel.
Create integration
- Andesite melts in the Smeltery; Andesite + 1 Iron or Zinc Nugget becomes Andesite Alloy in the Alloy Mixer. Cast it on the table or as a block in the basin. Andesite Alloy melts down again.
- Create's crushed ores melt like ore (2 ingots).
- New material: Brass (on par with Silver) for all tools, weapons, armor and shields.
- Trait Gearing: every block mined or hit landed gives +3% mining and attack speed, up to +30%. Resets after 3 s without action. On armor: up to +3% movement speed per piece while you keep moving.
- Set bonus Clockwork: +15% attack speed.
- Repairable with any brass ingot.
Smeltery & Alloy Mixer
- New layer list: hover over the molten metal bar and a list of all layers opens next to the window. Every layer gets its own row, so even tiny amounts are easy to find and select in a big Smeltery or Alloy Mixer.
- Andesite, Coal and Obsidian are now shown (and cast) as blocks only.
- The Alloy Mixer recipe list shows nugget amounts correctly (was "0 Iron").
- All casts now show their shape on the Casting Table and in hand, matching their inventory icon.
Armor
- The spiked right shoulder is now the permanent chestplate look; the shoulder toggle key (O) has been removed.
JEI
- Melting recipes for other mods' items are shown.
- Alloys can now be found via their items (e.g. press U on Andesite Alloy or a Brass Ingot).
- Fluids and alloys of metals that no installed mod provides are hidden.
Handbook
- New Material Compendium: source, stats, Trait and Set Bonus of every material in one place. Pick a material from the index or flip through them with the arrows. The Handbook key (H) opens it right at the material.
- New pages: Brass, metals from other mods, and the new alloys.
Note: Server and clients must both run 1.2.0.
