A mod that allows you to change the keybind that serves to open (and close) the elytras. Idea from : @VaffanClash on discord.
Instead of using the jump key, use the 'left-alt' key to open your elytra (you can change it in the controls). You can now also close it midair!
It also has:
- Toggle or hold mode for the key
- A setting for the jump key: never opens the elytra (default), only when you hold a firework, or like vanilla
- A firework takeoff key: jump, open the elytra and fire a rocket with one key (not bound by default)
- A flight HUD with your speed, altitude, pitch, rockets left and elytra durability
- A warning when your elytra is about to break
- A slider for the wind sound volume
- Auto swap chestplate: puts your elytra on when you take off and your chestplate back when you land. It's OFF by default, and be careful: it moves items in your inventory for you, so some servers might consider it cheating. Check the rules before using it!
Everything can be changed in the config screen (Mods > Elytra Tweaks > Config).
Works on 1.21.1 and 26.1.2 (NeoForge).
This mod is also compatible with other mods such as Apotheosis or Elytra Slot
