ElytraSwap

Swap your elytra and your chestplate with a single right-click. No keybind, no inventory, no config.

Hold an elytra and right-click — it trades places with the chestplate you are wearing. Hold a chestplate and right-click — you get the elytra back. That's the whole mod.

Why

Every flight ends the same way: open the inventory, drag the elytra out, drag the chestplate in, close the inventory — and hope nobody hit you while you were staring at a menu. ElytraSwap turns that into one click, without taking your hands off the hotbar.

Client-side only

The mod runs entirely on your client. It performs the swap by sending the same inventory-click packets the game would send if you dragged the items by hand, so it works on vanilla servers and on servers that have never heard of this mod. No server install, no plugin, nothing for an admin to approve.

That also means it is safe on servers with anti-cheat: the packets are indistinguishable from a player doing the same swap manually.

How to use

1. Put an elytra in your hotbar.
2. Right-click with it in hand — the elytra goes on, the chestplate goes into that hotbar slot.
3. Landed? Right-click with the chestplate — the armour goes back on and the elytra returns to the slot.

There is nothing to configure and nothing to learn.

What it will not touch

Only an elytra/chestplate pair ever swaps. Holding two chestplates, two elytras, or right-clicking with an empty chest slot is left entirely to vanilla, so nothing you already do changes behaviour. Blocks, food, tools and every other right-click keep working exactly as before.

Download the file matching your Minecraft version and drop it in mods/.

Compatibility

• Works in singleplayer and on any multiplayer server, modded or vanilla.
• No dependencies, no other mods required.
• Does not add items, blocks, recipes or commands — nothing to conflict with.
