# EliteClaim 1.2.0 — Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge

## New: `denyBreakExemptBlocks` option

`config/Eliteclaim/settings.json` now has a new switch:

```json
"denyBreakExemptBlocks": false
```

- **false (default)** — unchanged behavior: blocks listed in `exemptBlocks` can be broken, exploded, placed and used inside a protected region.

- **true** — blocks listed in `exemptBlocks` can no longer be broken or destroyed by explosions inside a protected region, but players can still place, use and right click them.

Useful for keeping blocks like chests, crafting tables or levers usable inside a claim while stopping players from removing them.

Run `/claim reload` after editing `settings.json`.

## Fixed: item abilities no longer blocked inside claims

Right clicking an item in the air is no longer denied inside a protected region, so tools and modded items with a right-click ability work normally for regular players. Only item uses aimed at a block inside a protected region are still denied.

## Changed: shorter protection messages

| Old | New |

| --- | --- |

| You cannot break blocks inside this protected region. | You cannot break blocks in this region. |

| You cannot place blocks inside this protected region. | You cannot place blocks in this region. |

| You cannot interact with blocks inside this protected region. | You cannot interact with blocks in this region. |

| You cannot use this item inside this protected region. | You cannot use this item in this region. |

## Notes

- Fully backward compatible — existing region files and `settings.json` keep working; the new option is added automatically with its default value.

- No changes to commands, the Claim Stick or region storage.
