(It's recommended to play with the Snowy Weather datapack for a more immersive experience)
(As of version 1.2.0, snow is added to all biomes, so installing the Snowy Weathers datapack is no longer necessary)
(Since version 1.6.0, through the config, by setting the variable "enable_comic_mobs" to "true", you can enable the spawning of enemies from El Eternauta’s comic that have not yet appeared in the series)
IMPORTANT:
To play version 1.4.5 or above, if you have already played the mod, you must delete the config and run the game again. If you update to version 1.6.0 or version 2.0.3, you must delete the config again as well.
To update a previously modded world to version 1.5.0 or above, run /startsnow or wait 5 days.
A mod inspired by the iconic Argentine comic "El Eternauta". This mod adds the fearsome Cascarudos, as well as gas masks and protective clothing to survive the deadly snowfall. Gear up and prepare to face the mysterious threat that descends from the skies.
Getting Started:
Currently, the snowfall begins automatically after a number of in-game days specified in the
eleternauta_config.tomlfile (default: 5 days). It can also be manually triggered at any time via the/startsnowcommand.

"Mate":
"Termo":
To drink Mate, you first need to craft the Termo and the Mate. Equip the Termo in your off-hand and the Mate in your main hand, then right-click to fill the Mate.
Once it’s filled, right-click again to drink, granting you its corresponding buffs. When the Mate is empty, right-click with the Termo still in your off-hand to refill it automatically.
If the Termo runs out of water, you’ll need to heat water in a furnace to obtain Boiling Water. Then, combine the Termo and the Boiling Water in either a crafting table or your inventory’s crafting grid to refill the Termo.
Guide for Version 2.0.0:
Now Cascarudos, when they die, have a chance to leave a Blood Drops block on the ground (the chance increases with the Looting enchantment). When this block is broken, it drops blood drops (this is affected by the Fortune enchantment).

The drops obtained are used to craft Cascarudo Blood Bottles which, when consumed, grant a new effect: Snow Immunity, although for a very short time.
Recipe:

These bottles are also used to obtain a new item: Cascarudo's Living Cells (Células Vivas de Cascarudo), through a new block: the Centrifuge.
Recipes:

(As shown in the image, each blood bottle has a 20% chance to produce a living cell as a result.)
These living cells have two uses:
Microscope:
Through a new block (the Microscope), these cells can be analyzed to obtain Research Notes (Notas de Investigación).

(By pressing the center button, the research result will be a Research Note one level higher than the one placed in the bottom slot. For example: if you place paper, the result will be a Research Note I (level 1); if you place a Research Note I, the result will be a Research Note II, and so on, up to the Final Research Note, which cannot be upgraded)
These research notes are used to craft syringes that grant snow immunity for a duration depending on their level (if you craft a syringe using a Research Note I, you will get a level I syringe with a short duration, but if you use a level III note, you will get a syringe with a longer duration).

Since these notes are consumed when crafting, there is a crafting recipe that duplicates them:

These syringes can be applied to yourself (right-click with the syringe in the off-hand and an empty main-hand) or to other entities (right-click with the syringe in the main-hand while looking at the entity).
Cascarudo Embryo:
Living cells can also be used to craft a Cascarudo Embryo, but first you need to craft a Teledirector.

When right-clicking a block with the Cascarudo Embryo, it spawns a tamed Cascarudo, which can be mounted. When it is not being ridden, this Cascarudo will remain still and will not move (it will only defend itself if attacked). To make it follow you or move freely, you must use a Keyboard, which allows you to set the behavior mode of your Cascarudo (it will only affect Cascarudos that are within 64 blocks or closer, and the affected ones will receive the Glowing effect).
This Keyboard can only be obtained in the new structure that has been added:
The Obelisco. This structure contains two Colmenas inside, making it a difficult area to loot.
The Cascarudo Embryo can also be used to create Colmenas, which spawn aggressive Cascarudos around them:
