Eclipse Gate 1.0.0 — first release
Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.0+, Just Stargate Mod 5.1+ and JSG: Rings and Transporters.
The Moonlit Hollow
- A new dimension of endless night under a full moon, reached through a Moonstone Brick portal lit with a Moon Shard.
- Four biomes: Hollow Woods, Glowcap Glade, Glimmering Grove and Duskwood Forest, each with its own trees and grass.
- Falling stars crash to the ground and leave Star Fragments. No vanilla mobs spawn in the Hollow.
Structures
- Castle Nocturne: a 129×129 abandoned walled town with a working Stargate at its center.
- The Depths of Nocturne: a two-level dungeon under the keep with a crypt, a boss arena and a treasure vault.
- Lunar Hamlets, Moon Shrines with transport rings down to a hidden lab, Lunar Observatories, Fallen Stars, and Ruined Hollow Portals in the Overworld.
Creatures and boss
- Moonbound Knight, Moonweaver and Lunar Wisp.
- The Eclipse Warden: a 300-health, two-phase boss summoned at the Lunar Altar. It drops the Eclipse Heart.
The Lunar Folk
- Villagers with five professions who trade in Lunarite, including maps to Castle Nocturne and Moon Shrines.
- Talk to them in chat: sneak + right-click, then type. Optional AI conversation with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or a free local model (your own API key). An in-game setup screen walks you through it.
- Overworld villagers and the Wandering Trader stock Eclipse Gate items too.
Items and blocks
- Moonwood, Glimmerwood and Duskwood wood sets; Moonstone, Lunar Stone and Deep Lunar Stone building sets.
- Lunarite tools and armor (full set gives Night Vision), the Moonblade, Glowcap Stew and the Lunar Apple.
- Enchantments: Moonlit Edge, Lunar Leech, Moonstep and Nightsight.
Also
- Lore books, including one that gives Castle Nocturne's real coordinates in your world.
- An Eclipse Gate advancement tab.
- A custom night-time main menu.
- Works with JEI, Tinkers' Construct, Configured and shaders (built-in PBR maps).
