What is Dark Sword?

Dark Sword adds a single weapon to the game, but one with a lot of personality: the Dark Sword. It hits hard in melee and, with a right click, launches slashes of dark energy that travel up to 50 blocks, pass through walls and strike everything in their path.

There are six slash types, each one more powerful and more distinct than the last: from a diagonal cut to a slash that hunts monsters, one that bounces between them, and a giant grid that destroys the blocks it touches.

You can charge the slash by holding right click (with a power bar on screen), or pick the slash type with a key and fire it instantly.

  ❓ FAQ

  Can I change the slash type key? Yes. It is under Options > Controls, in the "Dark Sword" category.

  Why isn't slash 6 on the power bar? The bar goes from 1 to 5, the levels reached by charging. Slash 6 is a special type that can only be selected with the key.

  Does the grid break bedrock? No. Unbreakable blocks and liquids are left untouched.

  Can the slashes hurt me? No. No slash can hit the player who fired it.

  What happens if there are no monsters nearby when I fire the homing slash? It flies straight and behaves like a regular slash.

  Does it work on servers? Yes, as long as it is installed on the server and on all clients.
