Echoes of the Past

Echoes of the Past is a NeoForge adventure and RPG mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 centred around ancient ruins, lost memories, ritual progression, unique enemies, powerful relics, and a challenging multi-phase boss encounter.

Explore the world to discover mysterious Echo Sites containing fragments of forgotten lives. Collect different types of Memory Fragments and use them at the Echo Altar to awaken guardians, complete rituals, and recover valuable rewards.

As you progress, you will encounter several new creatures, including:

• The Forgotten
• Memory Leeches
• Mourning Ones
• Echo Knights
• The Ancient Echo

The Ancient Echo is the mod’s main boss and features multiple combat phases, ranged attacks, ground slams, summoned Memory Leeches, multiplayer health scaling, and a final stand sequence.

Defeating echo creatures and completing rituals allows you to craft and unlock powerful equipment, including:

• Echo Recall Totem
• Awakened Echo Recall Totem
• Hearth Charm
• Echo Lantern
• Echo Ward
• Echo Blade
• Awakened Echo Blade
• Ancient Echo Sigil
• Ancient Echo Heart

The Echo Recall Totems allow players to bind themselves to an Echo Altar, with the awakened version capable of travelling between dimensions. Echo Wards protect nearby areas from hostile echo creatures, while the Echo Lantern reveals hidden echoes through walls.

Current release status

This is an early alpha release. Features, balance, textures, recipes, world generation, and progression may change during development.

Multiplayer and mod compatibility testing are still ongoing, so backing up important worlds before installing is recommended.
