Echoes Of The Alpha - Modjam Release

Description

Revisit the old days of minecraft alpha… BUT with a twist :} Adds Alpha Minecraft as a dimension, not 1:1 accurate, rather a recreation attempting to be as accurate as possible. Work in progress, current release is beta, but mojority of the base loop of build, mine, craft, repeat is fully working, Along with the proper world generation and more… (see below)

Authentic Recreation

This mod is attempting to recreate as much as possible in next updates, here is a list of features:

• Exact world generation of alpha mc including accurate hills, rivers, ore generation, the spegatti caves and more
• No smooth lighting
• No Sprinting
• No clouds
• Thick fog and low render distance
• Exact textures of alpha mc for everything in that dimension
• No hunger bar, the old direct eating
• old water
• In alpha dimension, no vanilla overworked items can be crafted, you can only craft alpha items
• Custom portal for the dimension (one sided, read more in the bottom section)
• A lot more is planned for future, but I couldn't complete everything for modjam, also this is not all, Its kinda mini explanation, check out the mod for more.

THE TWIST

Ok, so you can make a portal to enter the dimension (see How to Play section), BUT that is a one-sided portal, it doesn't exist in the alpha dimension, you just spawn, trapped there, you can try creating your own new portal, but it wont work. The idea is you're trapped in this dimension for 10 days, and also that you're trapped here by that REALLY popular white eyed myth entity :} (check the How-To-Play).

The Actual reward you get

The dimension doesn't just make you suffer in it just for survival, you get to bring home a reward that might not seem the most valuable thing, but its really really cool. YOU CAN collect the alpha blocks, whether its grass, wood, planks, ores, furnaces, crafting tables or more things in game, even tools. They make insane nostalgic world corners or reliving the old oak house in your own overworld. Plus they obey the proper no-smooth-lighting even in overworld. This is the main point, you get cool and nostalgic blocks to play with but only after spending some time in the dimension.

How to Play

In order to enter the dimension, you need to create a portal as follows:

• Create a frame of mossy cobblestone in overworld (nether portal size), then click the inner side of the frame with a moss block to activate it.
• When you enter the dimension, you will notice all things I explained above in Authentic Recreation section.
• Now you can play it roughly like how alpha minecraft was played, but you cannot escape since you're held hostage by hero brine :}
• In order to escape you have to plead to him in chat, for 10 days straight.
• This serves a second purpose of making you spend time in the old era and maybe make a house and live there.
• In order to plead, everyday, you need to write "please get me out of here" in chat, doing more than once everyday doesn't make it fast, you have to do this for 10 days straight, on last day you will be sent back to overworld. (Skip this quickly for testing by using /time add 1d
• While you are in the dimension, you will notice that there are minor weird and eerie generation, maybe a bit of grid pattern in ground, or repeating patterns etc.
• MAYBE YOU SEE SOMEONE STANDING AT THE EDGE OF FOG, DON'T GET SCARED, he won't do anything to you, just collect some alpha blocks as a trophy to decorate your house or smth. Experience it all in-game rn. As a warning this is in beta, and actively in development.

Future Plan

After Modjam passes, Some of future plans include:

• Authentic Sounds
• more blocks, items etc
• expanding the hero brine to be more scary and actually dangerous instead of stalking only
• Enhance the world corruption style
• add more scary elements

Other than this:

• Big plan is to add more Eras of minecraft history as dimensions, currently Pre-classic is in development.
• Some updates like villager updates are planned to be added like a weird dimension with repeating stacked villages and things like that.
• Kinda horror, but not like jumpscares, more like nostalgic horror and sadness vibe.
