Echoes of the Aether
A fantasy RPG adventure for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Fabric.
Three guardians hold the way to a forgotten sanctuary. Begin at Aether's Rest, follow the sky bridges toward the Ember Crown, Frostbound Citadel, and Stormspire Temple, and earn the personal essences needed to forge your soulbound Sanctum Key.
Explore branching temple dungeons, confront their guardians, and step into the Aether Sanctum. Trade at the Sanctum Market, build your equipment collection, and challenge the Endless Spire, where every ascent tests how far you can push your character.
Features
Aether's Rest floating starter town and three large Overworld temple complexes.
Personal guardian progression and a soulbound Sanctum Key.
The Aether Sanctum, its market, dungeon encounters, and custom equipment.
The Endless Spire, with personal saved floors and a choice to continue or reset. Death resets the run to floor 1.
Mounts and a Stable Master shop.
A built-in fantasy interface and an inventory trash button for destroying unwanted cursor-held stacks.
An in-game Patchouli Field Guide covering progression and systems.
Installation
Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Fabric Loader, Fabric API, Trinkets, Armor Model API, and Java 17. This release was tested with Fabric Loader 0.19.5, Fabric API 0.92.12+1.20.1, and Trinkets 3.7.1. Armor Model API is required for the custom armor models. Lootr provides per-player structure loot.
The complete quest-led experience is supplied by the Echoes of the Aether modpack, also being prepared for release. The standalone mod does not include the FTB quest definitions or the pack's additional combat, magic, mapping, and storage mods.
Start a fresh world for the intended starter-region experience. This is a beta release; back up existing worlds before updating. The Endless Spire currently uses one shared arena, so simultaneous independent runs are not supported.

A note from the creator
This is my first time making a project like this, and I’d love to hear what you think. If something feels clunky, confusing, too easy, or too difficult—or if loot and drop rates could use adjusting—please let me know. Bug reports, suggestions, and feedback of any kind are appreciated. Thanks for giving Echoes of the Aether a try!
