Description
Echoes of Harmony
This is unapologetically a cheat mod. It gives the player enormous powers, rich world generation, instant construction and a peaceful dimension full of resources. It is intended for relaxed, creative and gloriously overpowered play—not balance.
I originally made Echoes of Harmony for my daughters, based on the characters, places and magical objects from the stories we tell together. It grew into a personal all-in-one adventure mod: a strange new world to explore, a magical pearl that makes survival wonderfully unfair, an ancient abbey to restore and a field guide written by Gerard, our rather opinionated observer of wildlife.
The items
Pearl of Harmony
Keep the Pearl anywhere in your inventory, or in the optional Curios charm slot. Ordinary hostile mobs acknowledge and look at you but will not attack unless you hit them first. Bosses are deliberately immune.
Right-click to cycle between five blessings:
- Air: Speed II, Jump Boost III, Slow Falling and fall immunity. Hold left-click to fly continuously in the direction you look.
- Earth: Haste III, Resistance II and complete knockback resistance. Left-click a block to mine a 5x5 plane instantly, with drops.
- Water: Water Breathing, Dolphin's Grace, Conduit Power and normal underwater mining speed. Left-click to place infinite water source blocks.
- Fire: immunity to fire, lava and magma, faster lava swimming and no first-person flame overlay. Left-click works as an infinite flint and steel.
- Light: Night Vision, Regeneration II, Fortune III-style block drops and automatic removal of harmful vanilla or modded effects. Left-click places an invisible level-15 Harmony Light.
Sneak + left-click sounds the Sky Trumpets. All ordinary hostile mobs and their projectiles within 32 blocks are discarded instantly, producing no drops or experience. Bosses remain.
The Pearl is crafted with a Nether Star surrounded by four amethyst shards. The credited player also receives one after the first Ender Dragon kill, provided they do not already carry one.
Compass of Passage
Right-click to travel safely between the Overworld and Avalonia. The compass remembers your last safe Overworld position and falls back to your respawn point or world spawn. Arrival searches for open ground and can create a safety platform when necessary.
Mini Sky Stone
Insert a Pearl to project its current blessing to every player within 128 blocks. The installed Pearl floats above the pedestal and creates an element-coloured beacon beam. Multiple stones can combine different blessings. A rising redstone pulse sounds the Sky Trumpets around the pedestal. Use an empty hand to retrieve the Pearl.
Abbey Stone
Places a complete 65x81 Gothic abbey ruin as a new base and restoration project. A ghost preview shows its footprint before placement. The abbey includes a church, cloister, gatehouse, bell tower, cemetery, furnished living wing, kitchen, library and workshop.
Three crypt levels descend 24 blocks underground with zombie, skeleton and cave-spider spawners plus dungeon loot. Lootr is supported when installed. A named workshop chest contains one of every Echoes of Harmony item, including exactly one Pearl. New worlds give the player one Abbey Stone automatically.
Gerard's Cryptidsdex
Use it on a living creature to save a persistent observation with its registry id, source mod, health, armour, effects, disposition and Harmony interaction. Right-click the air to browse all recorded entries with a rotatable 3D model. Every vanilla creature has a hand-written Gerard field note; modded creatures receive a safe description generated from their actual traits.
The Creative Cryptidsdex is a separate Creative-only item containing every registered living creature from vanilla and all installed mods without requiring scans.
Timeglass
Right-click in the Overworld or Avalonia to enter a read-only spectator reconstruction of the nearby terrain as it looked when freshly generated, before you built anything. A seamless 5x5 chunk area is generated only while viewed. Right-click again to return to your exact position, direction and game mode.
Avalonia
Avalonia is a permanently bright, peaceful dimension built as an absurd all-in-one world:
- organic regions containing compatible vanilla and modded biomes;
- Tectonic terrain when Tectonic is installed, with a safe vanilla fallback;
- dense wild vegetation discovered from installed mods;
- large grounded lakes using safe vanilla and modded fluids;
- three-times ore generation;
- towering 48-96 block double helixes made from two different ores;
- registered structures from vanilla and installed mods, including rare surface dungeons;
- no natural hostile mob spawning.
The world generator is deliberately ambitious. Back up important worlds before updating worldgen versions, and remember that existing chunks are never regenerated automatically.
Compatibility
- Minecraft: 26.1.2
- Loader: NeoForge 26.1.2.76 or newer
- Java: 25
- Curios: optional; enables the charm slot
- Tectonic: optional; Avalonia uses it when present
- Distant Horizons: optional; automatically disabled inside Avalonia and Timeglass echo dimensions
- Lootr: optional; personalises abbey crypt loot
Built and tested primarily inside FTB Unstable 6. Other large modpacks should work, but exotic fluids, vegetation and structures are discovered dynamically and may be skipped when they cannot safely be placed.
Recipes and configuration
All survival items have vanilla-material recipes and appear in the normal recipe book/recipe viewers. Server configuration is written to config/fluidexpanse-common.toml, including fluid and ore blacklists/whitelists, lake sizes and coverage, ore multiplier, vegetation coverage, teleport cooldown and surface-structure chance.
In short: this mod is for players who want exploration, building and storybook magic with the balance knob snapped clean off.
