Echoes Below is a psychological horror mod for Minecraft that turns an ordinary survival world into something increasingly unsettling.

Instead of adding a traditional monster that chases or attacks you, Echoes Below introduces a mysterious presence known as NullEntity. At first, everything seems normal. Then a message appears:

“NullEntity joined the game.”

From that moment on, strange things begin to happen.

NullEntity communicates through disturbing and cryptic chat messages, sometimes speaking directly to you and sometimes confusing you with someone else. It may mention places you have visited, react to what you are doing, or say things that make it seem like your world has a history you were never supposed to remember.

The mod includes atmospheric horror events such as:

• Disturbing and mysterious chat messages
• NullEntity confusing you with another person
• Visual glitches and short interference effects
• Sudden changes from day to night
• Strange weather anomalies
• Fake system-like events
• Unsettling conversations involving unknown entities
• Brief flashbacks to a mysterious white room
• Messages suggesting that something happened before you entered the world
• Rare moments where NullEntity leaves the game… but continues talking anyway

The horror is designed to be slow and unpredictable. Events do not constantly interrupt gameplay. You can spend several minutes playing Minecraft normally before something strange happens, making it harder to know when the next event will occur.

Echoes Below focuses on psychological horror rather than jumpscares or combat. There is no creature you can simply kill to make everything stop.

The more you play, the more it feels like something inside your world remembers you.

Commands

For testing or exploring the mod’s events, several commands are available:

/echoesbelow trigger — Starts the NullEntity sequence
/echoesbelow message — Sends a disturbing NullEntity message
/echoesbelow confused — Triggers an identity-confusion message
/echoesbelow glitch — Activates a visual interference event
/echoesbelow night — Triggers a sudden night event
/echoesbelow flashback — Starts a white-room flashback
/echoesbelow death — Triggers a fake death event
/echoesbelow weather — Creates a strange weather event
/echoesbelow leave — Makes NullEntity seemingly leave the game
/echoesbelow reset — Resets the horror sequence
