DynamicSurroundingsRebirth-26.1.2-1.3.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Dynamic Surroundings Rebirth 1.3.0
Highlights
- New creature footstep engine: mobs get material-based footsteps with landing thuds, jump and stop scuffs. Mobs that have vanilla step sounds keep them; those without (villagers, creepers, endermen…) get DS footsteps with per-class volume.
- New
/bubbleserver command: broadcasts a speech bubble to players within 30 blocks, displayed for 30 seconds and not posted to chat. - Player footsteps play centered-stereo again, just like 1.12.2.
- New sounds: furnace ignition, thrown pearl/egg/snowball impacts, enchanting-table book sounds, and daytime insects.
- Modern blocks gained proper footsteps and landing thuds: amethyst, bone, sculk, moss, tuff, copper, bamboo, honey, slime, froglights, shroomlight and more.
- The hotbar selection frame glows soft red while holding a low-durability item; threshold configurable.
- Morning fog no longer reduces view distance — it layers on top like 1.12.2.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed sounds going silent after long play sessions (audio source leak).
- Fixed ender pearl throws being silent over long distances.
- Reverb intensity now applies instantly; footsteps keep reverb and underwater muffling.
- Fixed ground scuff sounds playing when stopping mid-air.
- Fixed the "restart required" badge showing on settings that apply instantly.
- Fixed multiplayer issues when the mod is only installed on one side (1.20.1).
Other
- New "Waterfall max volume" slider (default 0.5), applies instantly.
- Default reverb intensity lowered to 60% of the previous value.
- Loudness normalized across many step and landing materials.
- Leaf-rustle wind ambience reworked; altitude haze now fades smoothly.
- Settings reorganized under a "GUI" section.
