DVSNFlashlight adds a warm, directional light with a soft-edged beam and a little sway as you walk or sprint. It stays with you, so there's nothing to craft or hold.
Nearby monsters can occasionally make the light flicker. Switch clicks and brief electrical fault sounds add to the atmosphere, without a constant background hum.
Controls F — toggle the flashlight -/+ — adjust brightness from 20% to 300% Use the +/= key for +; Shift isn't needed. Keybinds can be changed in Controls.
Requirements Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge Java 21 No shaderpack or Iris required.
For shared flashlights in multiplayer, install the same mod build on the server and each participating client.
Beam settings, flickering and sound levels can be adjusted in config/dvsnflashlight.json.
