About Dusty Souls

This mod introduces a new whole structure and a variety of mobs with interesting mechanics. Your goal is to find all these mobs lost in an uncertain past. 

 

The Ancient Hamlet

This is the main structure of the mod; here you'll find suspicious gravel where you can excavate and unearth artifacts from the distant past. This area is inhabited by:

 

Remager

He is one of the direct ancestors of the villager. He is a merchant with eccentric trades, ranging from assorted stones to ancient eggs. When you find it, it is in a state of "hibernation." It can only emerge from that state if it is fed a fruit called "kear."

If the Remager senses the reverberating souls of a comrade defeated by a player, he will summon a horde known as "The Uprising" that will attempt to avenge the fallen.

Um, he also likes to sleep. He can fall asleep anywhere as soon as it gets dark.

 

 

 

 

 

The Uprising

This horde of mobs is divided into three phases featuring three different types of mobs:
- Creepus, a poisonous ancestor of the Creeper.
- Boulder, a great earth-master who uses the terrain to his advantage.
- Scratch, a heavy-browed dinosaur.

 

 

                                                                   

 

 

Dodo

You can obtain it via the dodo egg (which is found in the Ancient Hamlet's suspicious gravel). Be careful not to step on the egg, or you might turn it into a cracked egg (nutritionally exquisite). The dodo will drop an egg every so often.

Fun fact: Did you know that the dodo was native and endemic to the island of Mauritius?

 

 

 

Trekker

You can obtain it via the trekker egg (which you obtain by trading with the Remager). It is a very noble animal; simply right-click on it to mount it and travel to distant lands in search of adventure.

 

 

 

Fleagle

You can obtain it via the fleagle egg (which you obtain by trading with the Remager). This giant golden bird wields fire in an incredible way. If you drop it a gold ingot and a Tempus stone, it will alloy them and transform them into a Telden ingot. Furthermore, thanks to its intense heat, if you throw coal at it, it will turn it into a diamond.
