What's new
Duskwhisper — Changelog 31.07.26
Version 0.1.6 — The Event Update
New:
-
The entity can now highlight not only your username in red, but also individual words or symbols in its messages — for example, a smiley like
:). -
Entity messages can now be accompanied by sound, either immediately or after a short delay (for example, so you have time to read the message first, followed by a sound a couple of seconds later).
-
Added rare events — occasionally (roughly once every 25+ minutes, and not very often), the entity does something more serious than just sending a message: a red smiley appears in the center of the screen, unsettling music starts playing, a brief nausea effect kicks in, and your vision is limited to only a few blocks around you for several seconds. This is a personal effect — nobody else on the server will see or hear it.
-
Added
/duskwhisper event <seconds>for testing purposes — however, it only works for players in Creative mode. -
Added more short replies (1–2 words), more words and phrases that the entity can react to, as well as new response topics.
Fixed:
-
The mod icon was not appearing in the mods list — now fixed.
-
Some phrases could fail to load due to a typo in the file — fixed.
-
The entity's response could sometimes appear in chat before your own message — the order is now always correct.
-
The entity now recognizes player messages more accurately — short words no longer trigger accidentally when they appear inside other unrelated words.
-
When the entity "forwards" one of your old messages while pretending that you just wrote it, your username in that message is no longer highlighted in red. Previously, this gave away that the message was fake; now it looks like a completely normal message.
-
Event music sometimes failed to play at all or was interrupted by Minecraft's normal background music. Event music now plays through its own dedicated channel that cannot be interrupted, while regular background music is forcibly disabled for the duration of the event.
