## QuackedDucks v1.0.0 — First Stable Release (Fabric + NeoForge, MC 1.21.8)

### Highlights
- **New Duck mob** (GeckoLib-animated): ambient/hurt/death sounds, swims, flees threats, breeds, forms little follow-the-leader lines, and occasionally migrates to new spots.
- **Natural spawning** across temperate forests, plains, wetlands, rivers/shores, taiga, savanna, and windswept variants; slightly higher weights near water.
- **Duck Egg** item:
  - Throwable; on impact has vanilla-like odds to hatch ducklings (1/8 for one baby, 1/32 for four).
  - Separate **Duck Spawn Egg** also available for creative/testing.
- **Items**
  - Duck Meat / Cooked Duck (food).
  - Foie Gras (strong consumable; returns an empty bowl).
  - Duck Feather & a feather arrow variant.
- **Model/Rendering**
  - GeckoLib model/animation.
  - Baby ducks render at 0.5× scale; adults slightly smaller than vanilla chickens for vibe.

### Compatibility
- **Minecraft:** 1.21.8  
- **Loaders:** Fabric **and** NeoForge (separate JARs; do not mix).  
- **Requires (both loaders):**
  - **Architectury API** ≥ 17.0.8
  - **GeckoLib 5** for MC 1.21.8
- **Fabric also requires:** Fabric Loader 0.17.x and **Fabric API** for 1.21.8

### Installation
1. Download the JAR for your loader from **Assets** below:
   - `quack-fabric-1.0.0.jar`
   - `quack-neoforge-1.0.0.jar`
2. Place it in your game’s `mods/` folder **along with the required dependencies** listed above.
3. Multiplayer: the **server and all clients** must have the **same set of mods** (including Architectury/GeckoLib)
