1.4.0: Shaft Mode

• New: the Drill Vehicle can transform to drill straight down. Stop and press B: the body lifts on its hydraulics, the booms slide out and the drill swings down to point at the ground.
• In shaft mode, press V and the vehicle sinks straight down, digging a shaft under its whole body. Press V again to stop at any depth, then press B to transform back and keep tunneling.
• The headlights tilt down to light up the shaft
• The drill stops if there’s lava below
• The vehicle can’t drive or turn while in shaft mode or transforming
• Diamond and Netherite drill heads dig a wider shaft, faster
• Remote routes need tunnel mode: press B to switch back before starting one
• Shaft mode is saved, so a vehicle left in it stays that way after reloading
• B can be changed in Controls, under “Drill Vehicle”
