Dreamcraft Network's 3d Printers

This adds usable 3d printers to manufacture plastic, print cool items.

Dreamcraft Network's 3D Printers 1.2.0

Make plastic, wind your own filament, and print an assortment of colorful workshop gear and collectibles.

Two printers

The original CR-10-style 2x2x2 printer makes single-color prints. The new Dreamcraft Multicolor Printer adds an enclosed-frame body and a four-spool top tray inspired by modern desktop printers. It is not an official Bambu product.

Load spool A, then add up to three more colors in B, C and D. Choose stripes, checker or accent styling before printing. The colors and style are saved on the finished item and shown on its inventory and held model. With fewer than four spools, loaded colors repeat through the palette. Print costs are split between loaded spools, and a job starts only when every spool can cover its share.

Thirty print designs

Star charm, mini duck, gear, whistle, canteen, printed lamp, vase, sunglasses, flower pot, rocket, robot, tiny castle, pencil cup, desk organizer, phone stand, keychain, heart charm, moon charm, dice, chess pawn, chess rook, trophy, mini cat, mini frog, mini turtle, toy car, toy boat, flower, butterfly and snowflake.

Browse five pages of six designs. Print times range from 15 seconds to five real minutes. A full spool holds 100 filament units; the print menu shows each design's time and cost.

Most designs are collectible items for inventory and item-frame displays. Vases are not standalone placeable blocks, and sunglasses are not wearable equipment in this release. Whistles make a flute-like sound. Canteens hold four drinks and can extinguish fire and briefly restore health. Printed lamps provide light when placed. A multicolor lamp has a colored held icon, but placing it currently makes a white lamp rather than preserving its palette.

Plastic and filament

Gravity-affected plastic sand appears in patches replacing sand in newly generated Overworld terrain. Smelt or blast it into white plastic and combine it with vanilla dyes for 16 colors.

Place plastic above the Filament Processor or in its input slot. Thirty seconds of extrusion produces two loose bundles. Each bundle winds an empty spool into a full spool over ten seconds. Empty spools can be reused.

Clear filament is made by combining a glass block with white loose filament, then winding that clear bundle onto an empty spool. Clear item icons and printed animation layers are translucent. Clear plastic/lamp blocks are not a custom glass implementation.

Live machine animation

The printer head and rail move, filament feeds toward the head, and item silhouettes build up layer by layer on the bed. The completed print stays visible until collected. The processor shows shrinking plastic, moving rollers and winding spools. Working-machine state is sent to nearby clients.

Safety

Active extrusion emits toxic fumes within four blocks. Wear the gas mask in your head slot to avoid the custom Toxic Fumes effect. Unprotected survival players lose half a heart every two seconds during exposure. Creative and spectator players are exempt. The mask provides protection but does not yet have a custom worn model.

Installation and testing

Choose the jar matching your Minecraft version and install it on both the client and server.
