Dream Equipment is a Vanilla+ equipment expansion for Minecraft 26.1.2 on Fabric. It adds material-themed armor, tools, weapons, spears, and shields based on familiar vanilla materials — with recipes, repair materials, fuel behavior, tooltips, and gameplay effects.

Equipment families

Dream Equipment covers a wide range of material families:

Wood and plant materials

• Oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, pale oak, bamboo, crimson, and warped plank armor.
• Oak log, spruce log, birch log, jungle log, acacia log, dark oak log, mangrove log, cherry log, pale oak log, bamboo block, crimson stem, and warped stem armor.
• Cactus, paper, slime, bone, armadillo shell, and turtle shell equipment.

Stone and rock materials

• Stone, cobblestone, mossy cobblestone, cobbled deepslate, blackstone, sandstone, red sandstone, end stone, tuff, calcite, granite, diorite, andesite, basalt, smooth basalt, dripstone block, and netherrack equipment.

Gem, mineral, and special materials

• Emerald, lapis, redstone, quartz, amethyst, prismarine, glass, obsidian, coal, copper, gold, diamond, and netherite shields/equipment where appropriate.

Shields

The mod includes material shields for all current material families, plus shield-only vanilla-material families:

• Copper shield
• Golden shield
• Diamond shield
• Netherite shield

The vanilla shield recipe is disabled to prevent recipe conflicts with Dream Equipment plank shield recipes. Existing vanilla shield items are not removed and remain valid.

Custom shields use vanilla-like blocking behavior and custom material-adapted base textures.

Material effects

Some materials have simple material-based effects. Examples:

• Cactus shield/armor retaliates.
• Glass shield/gear can shatter.
• Redstone shield/equipment emits short redstone pulses.
• Slime shield bounces attackers.
• Paper shield/armor is weak in wet conditions.
• Amethyst shield can block sonic boom at durability cost.
• Prismarine gear has water-focused utility.
• Lapis armor supports enchanting-table lapis refunds.
• Obsidian shield is very durable but heavy.

Recipes and repair

• Most recipes use the matching material in a vanilla-readable pattern.
• Repair materials are data-driven and often include natural alternatives such as item/block forms or vanilla log tags.
• Wood/log/stem/bamboo-block and coal equipment can be used as fuel where appropriate.

Visual notes

• Plank armor worn layers use component-local vanilla plank mapping.
• Log/stem armor uses vanilla-source material fills.
• Shields use custom material-adapted base textures while preserving vanilla shield geometry.
• Textures are original generated/redrawn assets. No third-party All Rights Reserved mod textures are copied.

Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.1.2.
2. Install Fabric API for Minecraft 26.1.2.
3. Place the Dream Equipment .jar in your mods folder.
4. For multiplayer, install the mod on both the server and all clients.
