Dragon's Reprieve

Upon killing the Ender Dragon, the energies of the Overworld begin to shift. The dragon's pressure disappears, and monsters no longer spawn on the surface at night or during thunderstorms.

As long as the sky is visible, hostile mobs will not spawn.

Monsters will continue to spawn underneath the earth, dark tree canopies, and any enclosed space. This means that mob farms will still function.
