Since there wasn’t a Broly-focused mod for Minecraft 1.20.1, I decided to make one for a Broly-loving friend who always wears his skin in-game. With a couple of custom-made skins and green-colored assets, this addon lets you finally experience the power of Broly in Minecraft.

This is a simple asset swap of the original Goku mod that transforms the experience into a Broly version. No code or animation changes were made — only skins, textures, colors, and sounds — but all the core features from the original are here, now reimagined in Broly’s style

Play as Broly

All skills and abilities from the original Goku mod are still here:

Kamehameha (Z)

Meteor Crash (V)

Spirit Bomb (R)

Aerial Spike (C)

Blocking (G) (or Dodging with UI mechanics)

Instant Transmission (F) – teleports behind your target

Grab (Right-Click)

Target System

Hitting an enemy in close combat locks them as your target, applying a glow effect.

Instant Transmission works only on your locked target

Forms System (Broly Edition)

Broly’s transformations replace Goku’s forms, scaling with your opponent’s max health unless you lock a form with /formlock:

Base Broly

Broly Short Hair (SSJ1 & SSJ2 power-ups) – replacing Goku’s mid-tier forms

Full-Power Broly (long hair) – Broly’s most iconic form. With /formlock, you can stay in this form and scale up to Ultra Instinct-level enemies, without ever switching into UI.

Optional Forms (for extra variety if you choose): Super Saiyan God (Red), Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct Broly

⚠️ Note: These extra forms are non-canon, since Broly never used them. Ultra Instinct Broly still has Goku’s MUI abilities (dodge chance, new moves), so it’s not lore-accurate — but it’s there for players who don’t mind Broly using MUI powers.

Green Ki Attacks

All ki abilities now use Broly’s signature green Ki.

Damage System

Instead of Goku’s ripped clothes, Broly’s upper body shirt gets torn off as he takes damage — showing his iconic movie look.

Summoning System

Summoning works exactly the same as in the original Goku mod:

You can use Bulma’s Phone, which drops after too many consecutive deaths.

Craftable with:

1x Golden Carrot

7x Iron Ingots

1x Stone Button

The current message still says Goku will help you, but nothing spawns — you simply respawn as Broly as normal.

(I may change this later to say Broly instead of Goku, but it’s a small immersion tweak and not promised yet.)

Extra sound changes:

The phone now plays the Broly movie theme song (warning: don’t hold it too long or the track loops weirdly and gets slightly annoying — known bug)

The original English Goku voice line “It’s me, Goku!” has been replaced with Goku’s farewell line from the end of the Broly movie, in Japanese.

Frieza invasions remain the same.

Tip for the Best Visual Experience

For the most immersive Dragon Ball feel, I highly recommend using a shader that enhances glowing effects. Broly’s "Kamehameha" and "Spirit Bomb (Genkidama)" look absolutely better with shaders such as BSL.

All animations, code, and base functionality belong to WedgeGuy and his original Goku mod. With permission to upload, this version is a reskin + asset change made to bring Broly into the game with custom skins, green Ki, sound replacements, and iconic transformations.
