Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Stone doorways, and doors that can be three blocks tall.
Eight new doors in cobblestone and cobbled deepslate, one and two columns wide, two or three rows tall. The three-row ones carry a round arch.
They are built the way a medieval door was: the leaf is timber and the stone is the wall it hangs in. The boards are weathered — no two from the same tree, some streaked where water has run down them for years, darker at the foot where the damp comes up — and strapped twice in wrought iron, the straps crossing so they never line up.
The masonry does not move. Open the door and the jambs stand where they were, with the leaf swung through them; the arch stays with them. They are solid, so they are the one part of a door in this mod you can walk into.
Height now works the way width always has: a taller door is a separate block, not a property carried by every door. Doors two blocks tall are untouched, and every door already standing in your world keeps the state it was saved with.
Also in this release:
- the asset checker now refuses a model no blockstate points at, which caught 48 models that had been shipping in every release for nothing
- a sixteenth in-game test, covering the whole vertical axis at once
