DonutPing

Client-side DonutSMP auction alerts, enchant-aware price tooltips, inventory estimates and token settings for Fabric 1.21.1.

DonutPing

Check auction prices, notice your sales, and see what your inventory is worth without leaving Minecraft.

DonutPing is an English-only, client-side Fabric companion for DonutSMP. It reads the official public auction and statistics API, then displays the results locally. Version 1.7.0 supports Minecraft 1.21.1.

Features

Auction notifications

  • Sale notifications: chat, sound and item-icon toasts for your newly observed sales.
  • Price watches: set a maximum unit price and receive an alert when a matching observed listing falls below it.
  • Undercut notifications: compare your listings against cheaper listings with the same item ID and enchantments in the scanned pages. Repeats for the same item at most once every 5 minutes.
  • Flip signals: compare fresh listings from the first three recently listed pages with at least three unique matching sales within the past hour. Default thresholds are 15% ROI and $50,000 estimated total spread per lot, before fees.
  • Flip Assistant: open /donutping flipassistant to review qualified candidates, copy an item name, and inspect or trade it yourself. It never buys, sells, clicks inventory, or sends packets.
  • Local-only flips: ranked top 10, sortable by profit, ROI or matching-sale count, freshness checks, data-age footer and copy-search buttons. Flip Assistant sends no Discord messages.
  • Optional Discord notifications: send alerts to a Discord webhook while your Minecraft client is running.

Prices where you trade

  • Hover tooltips show cached auction prices and configured unit prices.
  • Supported enchantment sets have separate price fingerprints.
  • Hovering a shulker shows the value of contents with available cached quotes.
  • /donutping worth estimates inventory, armor, offhand and shulker contents. It reports stacks without price data separately.
  • /donutping hand compares the held item with observed asking prices and recent sale prices.

Grinding estimates

The optional HUD shows pickup-based hourly and session value estimates, observed auction sales and your API-reported balance. Prices can be configured manually or sampled from auction listings.

In-game settings

Paste your API token in the settings screen. The token is masked by default. Paste, Show/Hide, Save, and alert/sound/HUD switches are included. A Discord webhook can be configured in the same screen.

Open settings from Mod Menu → DonutPing → Configure, or use /donutping settings. A settings keybind is available in Controls and is unassigned by default.

Installation

  1. Use Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21, and Fabric Loader 0.16.9 or newer.
  2. Install Fabric API. The tested version is 0.115.1+1.21.1.
  3. Put donutping-1.7.0.jar in your instance's mods folder.
  4. Optionally install Mod Menu 11.0.3 for Minecraft 1.21.1.
  5. Get your API token using /api on DonutSMP.
  6. Open DonutPing settings, click Paste, and then Save.

Only Minecraft 1.21.1 is declared compatible. Install this mod on your client; a server plugin is not required.

Data and limitations

  • Default polls are approximately 30 seconds for transactions, 45 seconds for listings and 3 minutes for balance. Polling is delayed during request backoff.
  • Current monitoring covers the first three recently listed auction pages (up to 135 listings), not the entire auction house. Sales and listings outside those pages can be missed.
  • The first successful feed scan establishes a baseline without historical alert spam.
  • Cached listing quotes expire after 10 minutes. Inventory valuation is a partial estimate when some quotes are unavailable.
  • Comparisons use item ID and supported enchantment fields, not every possible component, custom item, damage value or armor trim. When exact quotes are missing, some valuations use item-level quotes.
  • Local price movement uses the available samples within a 24-hour window; it does not guarantee a complete 24-hour market history.
  • Pickup value is an estimate. Moving items from storage into your inventory can count as new items. Hiding the HUD does not pause tracking.
  • Discord delivery requires the client to remain open. This release does not include an offline notification service.

Privacy and verification

The API token and optional Discord webhook are saved locally in config/donutping.json as plain text. The API token is used for requests to api.donutsmp.net. Alert data is sent to the configured webhook only when that option is set. Do not share your config file.

Automated unit tests, Minecraft client rendering and settings paste/save/persistence checks have passed. Credentialed live DonutSMP API behavior remains unverified, so this release is prepared as a beta.

Gallery images are captured from Minecraft using the actual tooltip, toast, valuation and settings code with clearly labeled demo data. They are not screenshots of live DonutSMP prices.

DonutPing does not automate movement, inventory clicks, buying or selling. It is not affiliated with or approved by DonutSMP. Server rules still determine whether a client feature is allowed.
