Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Great news! Version 1.2.0 was made in an absolute hurry — at some point I realized the project wasn't heading where I wanted it to go. So I took a step back and rewrote half of the mod's codebase to make playing it much more enjoyable, responsive, and fun.
New Stuff
- Throwing Slimeballs at people (
SlimeballEntity). Because TNT was too destructive and Poisonous Potatoes were too toxic. Slow down your friends with a fast-flying lump of green goo right to the face! - Brand New Party System (
/party). You can now officially form groups! Invite your friends, track team statuses, and coordinate your stupid antics together. - Tab-List Nickname Customization. Unlocked a fancy new nickname color? It now shows up directly in the player list (Tab) so everyone on the server can admire your achievements.
- 15 Co-op Advancements Total. Overhauled the entire progression system! We reworked 1 old advancement and added 10 brand-new ones. Complete teamwork tasks, save friends from cliffs, or betray them for shiny rewards.
- Overhauled Co-op System. Completely restructured player-to-player interaction mechanics to feel punchier, smoother, and way more responsive.
Technical & Boring (But Important) Stuff
- Smart Server Optimization (
ServerPlayerOptimizationHandler): Heavy co-op & party distance checks are now throttled to run every 10 ticks instead of melting the CPU every single tick. - Hat System Caching (
ServerCacheManager): Hat-checking logic now uses thread-safe ConcurrentHashMap lookups, eliminating lag spikes when players rapidly test random blocks on their heads. - Architectural Refactoring: Split huge, bloated monolithic classes into neat, modular event handlers. The codebase is now squeaky clean!
- Thread Safety & Memory Fixes: Fixed client-side rendering crashes during typing states and eliminated redundant array allocations in advancement tracking.
