Version 2.1 — Alpine Expanse

• Completely overhauled mountain generation with larger, connected ranges and more natural foothills.
• Improved lowlands, plains, river valleys, and elevation transitions.
• Better biome-to-terrain alignment with altitude-based temperature changes.
• Added climate-specific terrain including alpine ranges, green mountains, dunes, plateaus, and canyons.
• Added naturally generated alpine tarns and waterfalls up to 160 blocks tall.
• Improved cave generation and scaling beneath mountainous terrain.
• Restored vanilla surface variety across beaches, forests, deserts, oceans, badlands, and mountains.
• Improved structure placement through better terrain and biome alignment.
• Terrain can now reach over Y=500 while maintaining Y=63 sea level and Y=-64 underground depth.

Performance Notice: Version 2.1 significantly increases the scale and complexity of world generation. Lower-end systems may experience the game falling behind on ticks, especially while generating or exploring new chunks.

A performance fix is coming very soon. Improving tick performance is a priority, and an upcoming update will specifically address the performance issues introduced with 2.1. If your system struggles with this release, you will not have to wait long for an optimization update.

Requires Minecraft Java 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5+, Fabric API, and Java 25+.

New worlds are strongly recommended. Select Dom To The Max: Alpine Expanse as the world type.
