DOD Web Map - Xaero Extension

View your Xaero map on a second screen with live players, mobs, items and waypoints.

DOD Web Map — Xaero Extension

Keep your Xaero world map open on a second screen while you play. DOD Web Map displays locally saved terrain, Xaero waypoints, nearby players, mobs and other radar entities in your browser.

A second-screen companion to Xaero's maps

DOD Web Map is an independent, unofficial extension for Xaero's World Map and Xaero's Minimap. Its purpose is to keep a live, full-window view of your map on a second monitor, giving you a larger view of your mapped surroundings while you explore, travel and continue playing on your main screen.

Xaero's mods remain the mapping engine and the source of the displayed map data. DOD Web Map adds the local browser view and its controls; it does not recreate or replace Xaero's mapping system. Both Xaero mods must be installed separately, and their JARs and mapping-engine code are not bundled in this mod. Credit for the underlying maps and radar belongs to Xaero and the original projects.

This is a community-made companion feature, not an official Xaero product or an endorsement by its author.

Features

  • Full-window browser map with desktop, portrait and narrow-screen layouts.
  • Minecraft heads and native Xaero icons, including loaded player skins.
  • Xaero-approved radar entities, including animals, dropped items, minecarts, boats and projectiles.
  • Searchable marker lists, English entity names and Czech/English controls.
  • Pixel waypoint icons with an individual icon choice for each waypoint.
  • Saved map progress, Surface mode and selection of saved cave bands.
  • Smooth marker interpolation and reduced-motion support.

Installation

Minecraft 26.3, Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.20.1+, Fabric API 0.165.0+26.3, Xaero World Map 1.47.2 and Xaero Minimap 26.6.2 are required. Install the JAR in the client mods folder. Open a world and press F8 to open http://127.0.0.1:8765/ in your default browser. Move it to your second monitor and use fullscreen. After an update, restart Minecraft and refresh with Ctrl+F5.

Radar and saved-map limits

Visibility, categories, height and server/Fair Play permissions follow Xaero's already-filtered radar lists. The mod does not load unseen entities or expand the server's tracking range. Transport is bounded to 2048 markers. Icon availability depends on the renderer/resources; a named marker remains when a finished icon is unavailable. Cave bands can show only data that has been discovered and saved, subject to Xaero/server rules. Selecting a target shows a straight bearing, not a calculated route.

The web server binds only to 127.0.0.1. Icon/font resources are bundled locally; no extra head database or analytics service is used. Existing Map Flow / DOD Web Map saves remain compatible.
