Distant Horizons is great in the overworld, but its LODs aren’t always wanted in the Nether, the End or modded dimensions. This client-side add-on turns DH rendering off whenever you’re outside the overworld, then puts it back when you return.
Features
- Automatic: checks your dimension once per second and switches DH’s “Enable Rendering” toggle for you.
- Remembers your setting: if you had DH off in the overworld, it stays off when you come back.
- Shader-friendly: it flips the same toggle as DH’s own menu, so it doesn’t reload the pipeline the way the ignored-dimensions option does.
- Works for any non-overworld dimension, including modded ones.
- Stays off: if you turn DH back on in another dimension, the mod switches it off again.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge Distant Horizons. Tested with 3.3.3. Client-side only. It isn’t needed on servers.
