Dimensional Apiculture 0.2.0 Release Notes

This update adds optional Bee Specimens integration, allowing all 29 Dimensional Apiculture bee species to appear as specimen items when Bee Specimens is installed.

The core Dimensional Apiculture experience still expands Forestry: Community Edition beekeeping with bee species and mutation conditions themed around dimensions and altitude.

  • Added Bee Specimen definitions for all 29 Dimensional Apiculture bee species.

  • Added 29 item models so the new specimen items use the dedicated specimen_panel.png texture.
  • Added an optional dependency declaration so the integration loads after Bee Specimens when it is present.

Existing Core Features

  • Adds 29 Dimensional Bee species to Forestry CE beekeeping.
  • Adds bee groups for the End, Nether, and unusual Overworld heights.
  • Adds bee groups for Midnight, Otherside, Everbright, Everdawn, and Undergarden.
  • Requires dimension and altitude tiers for the new mutation routes.
  • Shows the new mutation routes in JEI.
  • Adds habitat information to analyzed bee tooltips, including required dimension, altitude, and fallback information.

Optional Dimension Support

Some bee groups are designed for optional dimension mods. If the target mod is not installed, Dimensional Apiculture can use the Nether or the End as a fallback so the core beekeeping progression remains playable with Forestry CE alone.

Bee Specimens Integration

When Bee Specimens 0.2.0 or newer is installed, Dimensional Apiculture adds Bee Specimen entries for all 29 Dimensional Bee species.

  • Bee Specimens is optional.
  • The added specimen items are registered in the beespecimens namespace.
  • Specimen item names are supplied by Dimensional Apiculture's English and Japanese translations.
  • The specimen items use the specimen_panel.png texture.

Commands

Players with permission level 2 or higher can use these diagnostic commands.

  • /dimensional_apiculture habitat
    • Shows the current dimension and Y position, then reports the matching altitude tier.
  • /dimensional_apiculture stats
    • Shows the registered bee species count and mutation route count.

Notes

  • Detailed mutation recipes are intentionally not listed in the README. Please use JEI and in-game tooltips while playing.
  • Bee Specimens integration is only active when Bee Specimens 0.2.0 or newer is installed.
  • GUI display, JEI display, and the appearance of Bee Specimens integration should be checked in-game when needed.
