Diegetic Inventory renders an in-world projection of a player's inventory whenever they open it. Instead of watching a static character model while your friend sorts their items, you can see their inventory grid, item stacks, and cursor movements floating in 3D space.
Features
- Real-time inventory sync: When a player opens their inventory, a 2D projection appears in the world. Nearby players can see the slots, stack counts, durability bars, and the player's 2D skin preview (including outer skin layers).
- Cursor tracking: Mouse movement and dragged item stacks are synced and interpolated, showing what another player is pointing at or moving around.
- Standard local GUI: Your own inventory screen remains completely vanilla. Shift-clicking, the recipe book, and custom GUI resource packs work as usual without clunky in-world raycasting.
- Optimized networking: Uses delta updates and throttled packets so it doesn't spam server bandwidth or cause client FPS drops.
Requirements & Installation
- Loader: Fabric (Minecraft 1.21.4)
- Dependencies: Fabric API
- Sides: Must be installed on both Client and Server (or LAN host + clients) for synchronization to work.
