Die Schmiedewerkstatt (The Blacksmith's Workshop in German) features weapons for various playstyles (also known as classes), items to enhance gameplay, and tools to craft and break objects. It also includes some QOL and difficulty tweaks.
Goal:
This mod is mostly a continuation of my now-defunct and archived mod of Beyond the Horizon. The goal, just like in Beyond the Horizon, is to expand your options for items, tools, etc. I wanna add more types of tools for different purposes (like breaking more blocks, climbing more blocks, things like that).
The title?:
First off, what does the title even mean? Well, Die Schmiedewerkstatt (pronounced "die shmeedeverkstaht") is German for The Blacksmith's Workshop. I chose this title because there are practically no other good titles available that haven't already been taken in English, so why not in German? (Plus, it sounds pretty cool.)
Items and changes:
Planned or currently added items and tweaks are:
- Daggers: Faster, but weaker swords.
- Battleaxes: Slower, but much stronger axes. They're more weapons than tools.
- Revolvers: New ranged weapons that are much more powerful and long-ranged than bows and crossbows.
- Copper Gear: Gear weaker, but longer-lasting than iron. The mining level is iron level, with defense slightly below.
- Rose-gold Gear: Gear with the enchantability of gold and the durability of copper. The mining level is diamond level, with defense slightly below.
- Steel Gear: Gear equivalent to diamond, but for the Nether. Unlike diamond, however, it has 1,128 durability instead of 1,561, as it's a bit more common.
- And many other tweaks! These include retexturing the diamond tools, weapons, and armor, retexturing the spyglass, and adjusting several recipes to be either easier or harder, among others.
