A Minecraft mod that takes diamond ore to the extreme: an entire dimension made of solid diamond ore, villages and fortresses built from diamond ore and diamond blocks, diamond villagers, zombies, golems and a giant diamond warden, plus a full set of compressed diamond tools and armor that outclasses netherite.

The Diamond Continent Dimension

 

- A superflat world: 1 layer of bedrock topped with 14 layers of solid diamond ore - everything under your feet is diamond ore

- Blue sky, its own biome, no caves, no natural mob spawning

- A 5x5 arrival platform is built automatically, and you return to the exact spot you entered from

 

How to open the portal

 

1. Build a hollow rectangle frame out of diamond ore (interior 2-8 blocks wide, 3-8 blocks tall)

2. Right-click any diamond ore block of the frame with flint and steel or a fire charge

3. A blue portal appears inside the frame

 

If the frame is incomplete, the chat reports the exact missing coordinate so you know which block to place.

Diamond Villages

 

- Walls of diamond ore, floors and roofs of diamond blocks

- 5 building templates: well, hut, house, diamond tower, plaza

- Inhabited by diamond villagers and diamond golems

 

Diamond Fortress

 

- An 11x11 fortress: diamond block foundation, diamond ore walls with diamond block pillars, four 9-block corner towers, a central throne room

- Contains a loot chest (a 1-in-40 chance to generate)

- Guarded by 2-4 diamond zombies, with a chance of a diamond golem

- Loot includes compressed diamond ingots, diamonds, diamond blocks, golden apples, randomly enchanted books and rarely compressed diamond gear

Diamond Villager | Full vanilla villager AI and trading, diamond ore look

Diamond Zombie | Vanilla zombie behavior, diamond ore look

Diamond Golem | Based on the iron golem: 150 HP / 18 attack, neutral (only fights back)

Diamond Warden | Full vanilla warden AI and sonic attack, twice the size, diamond block material, boss health bar and an enrage phase below 50% health (Speed II, Strength II, Resistance II and a server-wide roar)

 

All of them are available as spawn eggs in the custom creative tab.

Crafting: 9 diamond blocks (3x3) make 1 Compressed Diamond Ingot. Tools and armor are then crafted with the vanilla shapes.

Special abilities

 

- Compressed Diamond Pickaxe - 3x3 area mining. Right-click the air to toggle the mode, sneak to mine a single block again. Only blocks the pickaxe can actually harvest are affected, and durability is consumed per block.

- Compressed Diamond Sword - sweeping slash: a fully charged hit deals 8 extra damage to every enemy within 3.5 blocks and knocks them back.

- Compressed Diamond Bow / Crossbow - arrows deal 1.8x damage with extra knockback; the bow keeps its full pulling animation.

- Compressed Diamond Shield - 3000 durability.

- Compressed Diamond Trident - 4000 durability.

 

In the 1.20.1 version the tools and armor use a diamond block material look, while everything else keeps its original textures.

Diamond Trading

 

- A custom villager profession, the Diamond Trader, with 10 trades

- Compressed diamond ingots are the currency:

- Tier 1-2: ingots to emeralds and back, pickaxe and sword

- Tier 3: shield, bow, crossbow

- Tier 4: helmet and chestplate

- Tier 5: 24 ingots for a Diamond Warden spawn egg

- Villagers self-correct their profession, so existing saves keep working

Five vanilla-style advancements: Diamond Continent (root) leads to Into the Diamond World, The Power of Compression, Diamond Armed (collect the full armor set) and End of the Deep (defeat the Diamond Warden).

Installation

 

1. Install Minecraft Forge for your game version

2. Drop the jar into your `.minecraft/mods/` folder

3. Launch the game - everything is in the Diamond Continent creative tab

Notes

 

- The mod contains both client and server logic, so it must be installed on both sides

- The 1.20.1 version defines its dimension and world generation through a datapack that is bundled inside the jar - no extra datapack installation is needed

- Start a new world to see the diamond villages and fortresses: world generation only affects chunks that have not been generated yet

- Textures are derived from Minecraft's own diamond block, tool and armor textures, used within the scope of the Minecraft Usage Guidelines
