To enter the flat world dimension you need to craft crystallized portal frames. Notice that to activate the portal you need to make a 4x5 structure without breaking corner blocks.
To activate the portal you need a broken crystal first!
However broken crystal is not enough to activate the portal. You also need to charge the crystal simply using it on the crying obsidian to absorb all its dimensional power and blah blah blah...
And after all of this you can finally enter that peaceful flat world that doesn't have any hostile mobs! And friendly mobs either...
