Devil Fruits: Reforged — 0.31.0-dev1

Combined changelog since **0.26.0-dev3** for Minecraft **1.20.1 / Forge**.

## Three new fruits

### Cactus-Cactus Fruit — Tier I

- Five abilities: Thorn Armor, Needle Burst, Cactus Eruption, Prickly Rush, and Cactus Grove.
- Custom fruit, armor, cactus growth and needle models, casting poses, and five new skill icons.
- Improved ground placement for Eruption and Grove, including collision surfaces and slabs.
- Larger Grove plants; Grove cooldown increased to 30 seconds.
- Replaced repeated rush teleports with velocity-based movement to reduce correction-related stuttering.

### Beacon-Beacon Fruit — Tier II

- Five support/light abilities: Beacon Aura, Healing Pulse, Purifying Light, Light Lance, and Beacon Judgment.
- Aura provides Speed I and Regeneration I. Healing Pulse restores health and grants regeneration. Purifying Light removes harmful effects and briefly grants Resistance I.
- Light Lance is a charged, piercing projectile; corrected its orientation when aiming horizontally, upward, or downward. Block impacts do not destroy terrain.
- Judgment calls down an area-damage beam and triggers an extra healing pulse when used on the caster's active Aura.
- Reworked all five ability effects and casting poses: layered runes, expanding healing rings, cleansing fragments, lance trails and impact bursts, and a descending beam with a sky halo.
- Extended Aura's vertical light to 24 blocks and Judgment's beam/sky halo to 18 blocks. Judgment's damage radius is now 5 blocks; damage remains 10.
- Five new skill icons and English, Ukrainian, and Russian text.

### Warden-Warden Fruit — Tier III

- Six ability slots: Hybrid Form, Full Form, Resonance Smash, Burrow Hunt, Sonic Boom, and Heart of the Deep.
- Custom v2 hybrid and full-body models with glowing cores, transformation sequences, movement and combat animations, and six new skill icons.
- Hybrid and full forms provide different health, armor, knockback resistance, melee strength, and ability power. Switching forms does not grant free healing.
- Resonance Smash releases ground waves; full form adds a second wave.
- Burrow Hunt uses collision-aware movement with visual submergence and an emergence attack; it does not teleport or enable noclip.
- Sonic Boom travels through blocks without destroying them, with a 16-block hybrid range and 24-block full-form range.
- Heart of the Deep combines pulses, a pull, and a final knockback burst with Darkness, within a 12/20-block radius.
- Integrated into the catalog, creative fruit tab, Tier III reward/merchant selection, and localization. Tier III remains excluded from hunter-camp fruit loot.

## New training and exploration tools

- Added a craftable **Training Dummy** with custom placement, idle, hit-reaction and reset animations.
- Tracks last hit, total damage, strongest hit, hit count and DPS, including multi-hit attacks and damage-over-time. Owners/operators can reset or pick it up.
- Added larger floating damage numbers, visible from up to 96 blocks while the dummy is loaded and tracked. Numbers rise and fade; nearby hits are visually grouped without losing individual hits from statistics.
- Added the **Altar Seeker Compass** with its own animated model, golden needle, glow, proximity effects and persistent target binding.
- Right-click searches the Overworld for the nearest eligible unclaimed altar within 2,500 horizontal blocks. The compass breaks after reaching within 20 blocks of its target.
- New hunter camps have one independent 50% compass roll in their designated fruit-loot container, with at most one compass per normal camp. Failed searches do not consume it. There is no crafting recipe.
- Adjusted the compass's third-person hand placement.

## Combat, balance and visual fixes

- **Shield:** smoother riding, solid rendering, improved culling/interpolation, and no fall damage while riding. Skill 3 now summons a usable off-hand Aegis shield for 20 seconds. Successful melee blocks repel attackers and deal 2 retaliation damage, with a 1.5-second retaliation cooldown. Improved size, golden effects, vanilla-style holding/blocking transforms and model origin. Existing off-hand items are preserved safely.
- **Rift:** skill 3 has a visible two-handed pull-and-release animation, including first-person arms, longer range and limited impact destruction with block/protection checks. Skill 4 reduced from six hits to three.
- **Furnace:** skill 3 now fires three hot coals in sequence, with moderate damage and no explosions. Coals ignite valid impact surfaces while respecting permissions and the fire-tick rule. Ordinary hit burns reduced to 2 seconds, or 3 seconds in furnace form.
- **Spider:** improved canopy capture checks so animals and other eligible targets entering during the capture window can be caught; owner, ally and pet protections remain.
- **Amethyst:** reduced ability damage by 15%, including secondary fragments and resonance marks.
- **Chain:** replaced translucent Dominion links with opaque metal links and bounded, batched rendering.
- **Hunter archers:** vanilla-skeleton-style aiming and firing behavior; corrected the bow's hand attachment.
- **Altar guardian:** faster hammer and ground-slam attack animations/contacts, plus improved routing around obstructions when pursuing nearby hidden targets.
- **Fruit pedestals:** stronger gold halos and brighter orbiting sparks.

## Fruit rules and localization

- Eating a second Devil Fruit, including a duplicate of the same fruit, now kills the player instead of replacing their power. This rule applies to all **19 fruits**.
- Summoned Enchantment staffs and Aegis shields are removed on death even with `keepInventory`; ordinary items still follow normal world rules.
- Expanded and completed missing English, Ukrainian and Russian translations across fruit names, tooltips, guides, abilities, effects, tree blocks, altar messages and new items. Text follows the selected Minecraft language.
- Existing guaranteed single-fruit hunter-camp loot remains in place. New loot rolls do not rewrite already-generated containers.

## Installation and testing

Requires Minecraft **1.20.1**, Forge **47.4.20 or newer compatible 1.20.1 build**, Java **17**, and GeckoLib **4.8.4 or newer compatible 1.20.1 build**. The tested versions are Forge 47.4.20 and GeckoLib 4.8.4.

Back up your world, close Minecraft, and replace the previous Devil Fruits JAR. Keep only one version of this mod installed.

The final development build passed **291 automated server GameTests**. Live client visuals, FPS and real multiplayer behavior still need in-game verification. Warden-specific first-person arms are not included in this build.
